Yep I'm in. Sent an email as well. I got the Xenon covers some time ago but haven't painted them yet. I knd of like both, so what the heck, can always change them back and forth. :-)

Brad can you take a closup photo looking at the mirror itself? I am interested on how noticable it is that its actually just stuck on the mirror I would assume you can see some kind of lip if you look directly on from the mirror side??

Checking their website, they state that these will be ready by the first quarter - hopefully those who have put their names in on the site will get first "dibs" and if a TMS member - a group buy discount.

 

OK, I know we are a little behind with an update. Here is a picture of the cavity side of the mirror insert injection mold tooling.

It will make 2 sets of inserts per shot. With a little luck we will shoot the first parts next week, so I think we are on track to be shipping by the first of February. Everyone who e-mailed us and is on our pre order list will get the first sets as well as a discount (we have not figured out how much yet). We will be e-mailing everyone on the preorder list with ordering information as soon as we are shipping.

It should fit perfectly as there is a noticable dip as if it was going to be done by ford. Interestingly this is one of the few new vehicles they decided against a skull cap. Fusion/Freestyle/500/Explorer/Sport Trac/Expedition all have them available. Funny enough, the base models that do not have the cap do not have the recess, its a different mirror. It looks like Ford thought about it and chickened out for whatever reason. By the look of the Shelby, they were afraid to do it on that car too, who knows why its becoming one of the few cars in the market over 15k that has only black plastic mirrors. :bang:

There isn't a "list", we just emailed them saying we want in on the pre-order, sales@midwestautogear.com (I think). It would be nice if they started a group buy, but Dan in this thread did say people that placed a pre-order would get a bit of a discount. I guess will have to wait and see
