Let's see some pony packages!
I cant get over how for 750 bucks a v6 can be made to look so much better with the pony package. Lets see some pics of members pony packages whether stock or modded. Hopefully we'll see some great stangs. Thanks
Here is my 06 pony clone. I had to make my own since you can not get the ICAP with the PP. I haven't changed the rims because I like them. The grill uses all factory parts no aftermarket harneses or Ford Accessory packages, just the factory grill, switch and harness. Lord don't let me loose the smart juction box, because it will just about take an act of congress to get a new one programmed. The ponys on the interior were the first mod I made. The last picture is the true owner, my neice, I am just breaking the car in for her until she turns 16.
I had a V-6 Pony for a short time.I added these wheels new for $105.00 each and installed a black out panel.I also used some take-off parts, black spoiler and running boards.I don't think I had spent more than $650.00 for these parts/wheels.
Here's mine, but it's not a factory Pony Package. I wanted a convertible with a manual transmission and the Pony Package, but when I went to look for one I found out that Ford didn't sell Pony 'verts with a manual...so I found this 05 Screaming Yellow vert and added all the Pony Package parts. I only have to install the sway bars I bought and it's complete.

It's also my opinion too that I like the Pony grille and fog lamps much more that the GT's look. The thing about the V6 fascia is that I like the way the grille opening is shaped at the bottom and ends more like the classic Mustangs than what the GT is. Matter of fact the Pony grille is modeled after the CORRECT classic Mustang GT grille. The classic GT's also had the rocker stripes like the Pony package.

It doesn't matter if it is factory equipped as a Pony or not. The great thing is that you can virtually make your Mustang the way you want it to look. There are a lot of great retrofit parts so one can mix and match for the right look. The way I see it the base Mustangs look quite stripped without some of the details that even the classic Mustangs came standard with. For instance how could they leave the ponies off the fenders on the base Mustangs. Even the last generation Mustangs had standard ponies on the fenders. Plus the base model grille is just too stark without at least a pony in a corral. To me the Pony package makes the Mustang look more complete.
I came close to buying a standard V6 coupe. I would have ended up buying most of the Pony parts and interior upgrade parts to make it look better than standard stark. I got a good deal on a Pony so I am happy.
I do wish that I had at least the repeated Pony print on the seats instead of the Mustang name... It just seems silly you have to order a GT to get the ponies.
