Just noticed it's 50/50! Non-scoopers unite!

 

What's the purpose of having a scoop that doesn't scoop air. Just my opinion. No disrepect to anyone.. The shakers are sharp, but as for MY Mustang, make it plain. As I've said before, "This is MY Mustang. There are many like it, but this one is MINE!!"

 

I guess I need to take my GT to the track. Doing 140 on regular streets will land you in jail, cost beaucoup money, increase insurance, puts others in danger, not to mention yourself...that'll take away from chrome money for my harley...big no, no! I must be getting old!

 

I agree with you on the quality of the scoop, but IMO it is better than nothing. I don't understand why they didn't go with a molded scoop...well, I'm sure it's a lot cheaper to add a plastic scoop rather than having to mold an entire new hood.

 

Shoot, you guys are winning! Bastards! Come on SCOOPERS, I know there are more of you out there...just about every GT I see has a scoop...don't let the plain-hooded, ****-retentive, skirt-wearing, yellow-bellies, lily-livered, faint-hearted, pusillanimously, no-bling bling, purists get away with winning the poll !!!

I like the scoop. Having said that mine fits lousy and the black paint job is poor, (orange peel). The dealership has offered to have it repaired and painted for a third time. Part of the problem is the plastic scoop on a metal hood so when the temperature changes the scoop expands or shrinks differently than the hood. Check yourself, some times the scoop seems tight and other times it is loose, especially in the corners facing the car window. The scoop also needs to be scribed or heated as another suggested so that the fit is exact, which it sure is not now. By the way I screwed up the vote, I clicked plain when I meant to click SCOOP, sorry!

The only alternative for me would be a cowl hood.

I can't see putting a non-funtional scoop on either, awaste of money to me. It also cuts into your performance instead dof helping it like the shaker units

 

That scoop is much nicer than the GTAP scoop. I wonder if it fits in the same holes as the GTAP?

 

How does the shaker help performance? Doesn't a regular CAI do that? IMO, the shaker is also just for looks.

 

I wonder what a fake gas cap is called "scam-cap", what about fake Shelby stripes "Shelby-scam", what about rear spoiler "spoiler-scam"
