Highland green mirror covers?
Martimus,
The motors just unscrew (3 ea side) and bolt into the new housing - actually a very straightforward process.
As to the PX - we're just waiting for the first order of louvers or mirrors to start spraying that color. We just finished some Vapor Silver pieces going to Europe, and Candy apple Red is in-process for customers.
Anyway, if you call us for anything, we can get you an answer pretty quick if not right on the spot for whatever you're looking for.

Fair enough, but to be honest 249.00 is realistic for this piece given the run volume. Whenever you're making just small amounts (1,000 is small) of something like this, the price goes up to cover the tool costs (at least if you're doing it in the USA). Realize too that this is actually 6 pieces (two mirror bodies, two mirror stalk mounts, two glass setups, one of which is parabolic), so it's not just "popping" off a tool in a single shot and ready to go (even if it could, that would be one expensive tool).
As a data point, I spent close to 500.00 with Ford for a set of mirrors with the turn signals for our F350 to replace the ones that were identical but didn't have the markers. Considering the F-series is their best seller, you'd think they could make these available for less, but nope... granted theirs came with the motors, but for the money, I would have been happy to save it and swap the old motor over...
Also, while we do offer these, we're not the manufacturer, so I don't have any control over the process or price, I just think they are way cool on the car, and were very close to what we were going to produce, hence why we just offer theirs and didn't go into production with our own.

Even thought shr sells the agent 47 mirrors in dark highland green, I think that the smooth black satin finish would look better on the bullitt. The black mirror complements the more subdued look of the car - besides, the 68 bullitt mirror was not painted.
I definitely agree. They would have to be black for a Bullitt.
Called midwest again... got the same lady, said bobbie wasn't there, told her that people have stated that highland green were available from midwest, she countered and said that they don't have the paint code for it or anything and that it's still not available.
Leave it stock..? It's a Mustang! That's just not right! I'm not a big fan of chrome everywhere, and i don't like the look of the mounting piece on the Agent 47 mirrors, i know it's not original to the '68 car, but i think the mirror caps give it a much better modern look. Similar to how the mirrors on the 2010 Mustang look. I'm not sure what brushed or chrome mirror caps would look like...
I would just put the DHG caps when they start making them of course. I think the Agent 47 mirrors would look cool too. I put silver caps on my satin silver 05 because the mirrors are too big stock. Putting the caps takes off "visual weight" IMHO.
There are color matched mirror covers available here:
http://wheelskin.com/dg-mc67306.html
$164.99 with no shipping (and possibly no sales tax)
They attach with double-sided tape; I know of a number of people that are happy with the rear, quarter window louvers sold by this site.
