Help!!
we just had the rep from atd in and asked him the same question.
he said that the chrome on all the china wheels is junk and IS NOT
covered by ANY WARRANTY against rust / pittin / pealing chrome.
he advised us to tell our customers NOT TO DRIVE THEM IN THE WINTER
because it snows here and they put down millions of pounds of chems to melt the snow, along with the chrome off our wheels!!
i have worked it the tire industry for over 25 years and i am not sure if the chrome is of a lesser quality or the chems they put on the street are more caustic, but i see guys every day with ruined chrome on everything from cragers to lexani (sp?)
do i run my aftermarket wheels over the winter ? NO
