Highland green mirror covers?
I've heard a decent mod is to buy replacement stock covers and paint them yourself. Though depending on your skills with paint it may just be easier to buy the prepainted ones.... I'd imagine it involves a some coats of primer to quell the texture, then a few layers of paint and a gradual sand and clear coat layer for gloss. Maybe some light sandpaper on the stock cover texture before applying primer?
MidWestAutoGear now offers the mirror covers in Highland Green. It does not show up on its site, but in ordering you just need to note it in the Comments section. Price is same as others - $83
I wonder why this thread is being moved - Highland Green mirrors is a subject unique to Bullitt owners

wheelskin.com will paint them dark highland green and clear coat them for you.
they cost $165.00 but give you 10% off if you tell them that you are a member of this forum. I ordered louvers and should have them tomorrow.

The MidWestAutoGear price of $83 for DHG mirror covers is for BOTH mirrors - so about half the price wheelskins is charging. I can't imagine how there could be much if any difference in the quality for just the covers.
try these contacts. I just got my radiator extentions and they said they were doing the PX color.

Martimus,
The motors just unscrew (3 ea side) and bolt into the new housing - actually a very straightforward process.
As to the PX - we're just waiting for the first order of louvers or mirrors to start spraying that color. We just finished some Vapor Silver pieces going to Europe, and Candy apple Red is in-process for customers.
Anyway, if you call us for anything, we can get you an answer pretty quick if not right on the spot for whatever you're looking for.

I talked to a guy there (sorry I did not get his name) - he said when you order online just check any color (b or w) but mark dhg in the comments section. But I would call to order and ask for someone who actually knows what they are selling.
