I'm sure that's gotta be canadian currency but I didn't think US/Canadian was that far off. Those wheels are about 1500.00 US and the spinners are about 300.00. Wheels are about 240.00/per (I think) so that would be about 2800.00 US. $4600.00 really seems off or is my calculator goofy. I have 1480.00US coming out about 1820.00 Canadian which isn't that far off? What am I doing wrong (or where did I miss the bigger expense.?
It is canadian currency but you are forgetting something, the rubber. Price was $3,625.00 US for the rims, rubber and tri-bar spinners. Also I would live to know where you are getting price of $300.00 for the spinners when they are over $100.00 a piece. You mention wheels twice, once you say $1500.00 then you say 240.00 per. The rims are 2 different prices (2 different sizes) and rubber as well. The BFG's on the back alone are close to $400.00 us each.

Edit: $3,500.00 US x 1.27 (exchange rate when I bought them) = $4,445.00 plus new lug nuts and chrome valve stems.
Hi John, I ordered the wheels in the same size (chromed) yesterday from coolwheels.com (california). Here is my request with their response. I am looking for the site I found the spinners and will get back to you on that. That comes out to only 1780.00 for wheels and spinners. Again, the tires are only about 250.00/per tire so add 1000.00 to that and you have 2780.00 Us. That's a bit distant from what you are showing. Also, attached is a pic of the prices from hotrodsusa.com. The price of the tires, and maybe this isn't exactly what you have, are out of page 84 of popular hot rodding (which says that they took the info from Discount Tire Direct and Tire Rack... They show the BF Goodrich G-force T/a KDW nt's at 247.00/per (and less for the fronts).

REQUEST:
I am interested in the AR torg-thrust II in chrome. Initially I want 18 x
10 and then 18 x 8 I would like to know the price of this
broken down into a 2 order set. The 18 x 10 would be a 7.25 backspacing
with 5 lug and 4.5 bolt circle (for a 05 mustang). The 18 x 8 would be the
same except only 5 1/2 backspacing. (unless you know this wont work).
THanks.

OUR RESPONSE
------------
Hello Bill. My name is Matt. The price for the front wheels are $325.00
each. Total shipped is $710.00. The rears are $350.00 each. Total shipped
is $770.00. It takes 4 to 6 weeks to build. Call me to order at
714-630-2211 or drop me an email for more info. Thanks in advance. MATT

Bill, I am looking at my receipt right now. The prices I quoted earlier were off the top of my head so they were off a little. I paid $394.00/rim for the front and $419.00/rear. Rubber was $219.00 each for the front and $329.00 each for the rear. Spinners were $512.00 for the set. Keep in mind the prices are higher at this end due to shipping, etc... My bill not including spinners (since they did not arrive at the time I was not billed yet) was $2893.72 after tax. You gotta remember I had to go to a local store to order these. If I had them shipped it would have cost a lot more.

Edit: When I said $3,500.00 that was including the spinners. Sure I may be off $100.00 on that but oh well. The spinners are not cheap. American racing has them around $125.00 each on their website. That is not $125.00 per set, that is per spinner.

Not saying you got ripped of adrenalin but where did you get your wheels and tires from? The BFG's in the rear can be gotten for $245 online anyway, the fronts for around $170.

Sure you can get them online for that price but then pay for shipping. These things are not light and shipping is not cheap, especially across the border. For example, looking at the Rsport hood. To have it shipped to Port Huron was $150.00. To have it shipped across the border to my house was $350.00.

Also, if I were to buy them in Canada, I was quoted $585.00 per rear tire, that is just the rubber, not the rims. So to say I got ripped off, I don't think so. Could I have found a better deal? Most likely but I am not going to drive hours to save $100.00. I make more than that at work, why waste my time on the road.

That does sound better and If I kept looking to try and find the actual "lowest" place I would still be looking, afraid I always paid too much. I figured shipping to Canada may be somewhat of the difference in price.
On another note, I hate Ohio weather, Canada is gonna be even worse, I think we all move to South Carolina and enjoy nearly year round driving of these things. John, I bet that would get you out of the doghouse. And again, beautiful car. Thanks for the tips & pics.

Tried to get my wife to move to the states. Looks like that is not going to happen. I may have to go for a cruise and get lost for 10 months in South Carolina.

I was actually going to get that exact wheel and tire combination, but like you I want to have a unique car and have been looking for something else since I was told that AR said they wouldnt fit.

John,

How much did that wheel/tire combo set you back? I am considering a similar upgrade when my 2005 GT comes in

By the way, looks phenomenal
Hey Steve. I hope you are sitting down, well, you are at a computer so I guess you are. I ordered them in the states since I am only 20 minutes from the border and picked them up so I wouldn't pay shipping. By the time it was all said and done the cost is just under $4,600.00 with the center spinners. I should have bought them when the canadian dollar was better.

Oh poot!!! I am glad I was sitting down too as you just blew me away with that price. I have no wife but I am sure I would be is some kind of a house or maybe out of the house if I did something like that. My dog couldn't care less. They do LQQK nice.

I am almost certain the factory rims have a 6.25" backspace. My 18x8 have a 5.5" backspace, and line up pretty good to the fenders, only sit in by about 1/4".

I think they will look fine Frank.

http://www.newstalgiawheel.com/produ...ils.asp?id=981. They are 300.00 per set of 4.
