Forgot to mention the reason I won't live long enough to retire is because by the time I am done modding this car she will kill me anyway.

if the front wheels are 18x8 with 5.5 inches back spacing what would the offset on those be or does it work like that

I have wanted these rims since day one and waited forever for them to show up. 3 sets until the backspacing was right. Hopefully nobody in my area copies me, that would stink :notnice:

When dealing with backspacing the manufacturer does not go into offset, however the closest I can think they are would be 25mm on the front and close to 55m on the back

I knew you were up to something when you started with the "ol' buddy ol' pal" line. I'm sure when my wife "takes care of me" she has plans in mind for the stang

John,

How much did that wheel/tire combo set you back? I am considering a similar upgrade when my 2005 GT comes in

By the way, looks phenomenal
Hey Steve. I hope you are sitting down, well, you are at a computer so I guess you are. I ordered them in the states since I am only 20 minutes from the border and picked them up so I wouldn't pay shipping. By the time it was all said and done the cost is just under $4,600.00 with the center spinners. I should have bought them when the canadian dollar was better.
[/b][/quote]

I'm sure that's gotta be canadian currency but I didn't think US/Canadian was that far off. Those wheels are about 1500.00 US and the spinners are about 300.00. Wheels are about 240.00/per (I think) so that would be about 2800.00 US. $4600.00 really seems off or is my calculator goofy. I have 1480.00US coming out about 1820.00 Canadian which isn't that far off? What am I doing wrong (or where did I miss the bigger expense.?

It is canadian currency but you are forgetting something, the rubber. Price was $3,625.00 US for the rims, rubber and tri-bar spinners. Also I would live to know where you are getting price of $300.00 for the spinners when they are over $100.00 a piece. You mention wheels twice, once you say $1500.00 then you say 240.00 per. The rims are 2 different prices (2 different sizes) and rubber as well. The BFG's on the back alone are close to $400.00 us each.

Edit: $3,500.00 US x 1.27 (exchange rate when I bought them) = $4,445.00 plus new lug nuts and chrome valve stems.

Hi John...could you put please more pics from your car, especially from the front and side...I want to put torq thrust 2 (17x8 but they only have 25 mm offset )and I want to see if the rims works perfectly....also do you think it's more difficult to clean your wheels cause it's not chrome but alloys rims...tanks

Frank, not sure what you mean about cleaning. These are chrome rims. I have yet to clean them since I got them but because of the design I think they will be easy to clean.

I promise that once the weather is nice again and sunny I will clean the car and take more pics. We just had snow squalls last night. The car is locked up in the garage and is a mess. Now that I have these tires on I can't drive at all in the snow, not even if it is only 1 cm deep.

Not saying you got ripped of adrenalin but where did you get your wheels and tires from? The BFG's in the rear can be gotten for $245 online anyway, the fronts for around $170.
