CS6 / GTH Hood Installed
as i said earlier in this thread:
"not that it rains over here in Dubai, but on the very few occassions that it did, i simply drove off.. and the water went straight back and drained through the wiper drains on the cowl screen."

+1. Strips are almost a must. Than again I'm sure these pictures dont do the hood any justice. I mean with all the lousy service everyones been receiveing not one persons complained about the hood and looks.
Im anxiously waiting to save enough to get this hood. I'll eventually need to alter the underside whenever i do FI but thats fine by me.
Question with those CS6 hood owners and superchared. Heat soak a problem? I mean not having heat extractors posing a problem? And has anyone asked to see if a body shop would make the hood functional? Not a big deal

Hood Looks GREAT!!!
Get them stripes...
Also, I too had ordered from Shelby and though it might have been a tad on the slow side, I feel privi buying anything from somewhere as legendary as Shelby, and the quality is great. I'll be ordering more soon.
Post more pics.

apart from the great looks, mine was nothing short of a nightmare.
i had fitment issues with the stock engine.. it didn't clear the FRPP Strut tower brace i got from Shelby.. it didn't even clear the strut bolts at first.
anyway, a couple months later i installed my Whipple supercharger.. and i couldn't shut the hood anymore!
i had to cut up 30% of the underside and re-mold it from scratch.
heat soak is there.. my intake air temps raise with the coolant temp.. and it takes ages for the engine compartment to cool down (today i was at the mall.. i parked it for 3 hours, the coolant temp went down from 195 to 170F only!.. then again i'm in Dubai, and that doesn't help)
by the time i got back she was all warmed up and ready to go :P
WOW looks awesome! I want that hood too, but in black I think it almost needs the lemans stripe. I agree about the hood "vents" they just look way too cheap in person., and the one I saw was on a GT-H and was a bit faded looking or maybe just dirty. If the vents were more recessed I think it would look cooler. Im not really knocking them cuz I still think it looks killer.
I like the Vista Blue too.
