Jason,

Installation time will be about 2 to 3 hours. At this time we do not have the pricing completely done but we are looking at no higher than $1500.00 retail. We will add your name to our 2005 component list as soon as the pricing does become available we will update you. Please keep checking website for updated information.

Thank you

Pretty sure that I'm in on this. That price is hardly more than a sunroof. Need to find a retailer for Saleen's HID package as well.

The only bad thing about CDC is how long it takes them to actually put out thier prodcuts. I remember a full article in MM&FF that talked about thier "New Shaker" hood back in like 2000-2001ish. The article said that the products should be available by the time the article was read and every time I called CDC they said the product was a "month" away. Well much much later than anticipated along comes the Shaker but you had to cut a hole in your own stock hood and it was still an **** ton of $$$$.

I agree that all of thier new '05 products look great, but be ready to pay high dollars and sell a ********. Oh, and don't count on being able to get them anytime soon.

I believe the first email they sent me said that they would be released in the spring so who knows.

Does anyone know what this install is like who visited the SEMA show (or otherwise)?? Don't they have to cut the roof off or is the center section able to be removed if you take out the headliner??? Just curious how radical the install is. If the roof section can be removed without cutting and replaced with the Glassback that would be awesome and potentially you could return to the OEM roof. If they are saying only 2-3 hours that doesn't sound like they are having to cut and finish.

They Probably just have to cut out the Roof Panel that is installed where the Black Roof Strips are Along the outer sides of the Roof and then Bond in the Glass Roof. Then just Put in New Moldings around the Opening inside. Seems like Ford had this in mind from the start, look at the structure underneath.

So who thinks that it would be way to dorky to hang the old roof piece in the home theater room in the basement?

I was kind of underwhelmed with the GLASSROOF from CDC.... it's not a totally see through like the concept. It has this silver sheen to it so that it's not 100%see through from the outside. I know that for security it's probably good that you can't see into the whole car, but from the outside it looks like a big silver square section on the roof

maybe it's just the lighting of that picture

Seems like a pretty overcast day, it probably looks better in sunshine.

Anyway, without that reflective silver screen - can you say GLASS OVEN?! It'll be a cooker in there if there's nothing to reflect the sunbeams. I'd preferred a dark tint though, like the side windows.
