When I get my 05 GT I am thinking of having the center section of the hood painted to a black matte like the 69 Mach I. I am assuming they used paint back then. Anyone know what the options on this would be now?

Paint. Plus, it's the perfect time to change to a mod hood, since you're having to paint anyway.

BTW: What color 'stang?

I had the center of my 98 hood painted semi-gloss then I trimmed the edges out with black pinstripe... Looks pretty cool but be warned it is a pain to clean/wax.

Ranger-

Use the the paint code for the 2003/2004 Mach 1 Spoilers. Easy to wax, some clear already in the paint. I am having my hood painted on my Mach next spring using the spoiler paint.

Like this . . .

That's the color. Looks great. Let me know how you are going to paint it. The pattern on the hood.

Discussed with a local body/paint guy I know and trust. Went thru a few options, as of now: He is going to put a matting agent in the paint so it will come up between a flat matte and the full gloss - guess you could call it semi-gloss. Think this will work out best for looks and maintaining.
