Yeh, this is my daily driver. I work with my girlfriend right now, so on bad weather days , we take her 2005 Escape Limited. I am getting ready to change jobs though, and then it really be my everyday car.

I like that it matches the body color. ( Cause the side sills from ford match too).....Nope......the color is a perfect match.
I asked about the daily driver as that is one CLEAN car! Mine gets driven nearly 90 miles a day, and I give it a good wash every Friday night in preparation for Saturday night cruise-ins and shows we have in the area. By Friday it's got a bit of dirt on it!

I really played around with a graphic image of my car, working with different color schemes and stripe styles, and thought a Mach 1 look (contrasting black spoilers) would be pretty cool over Torch Red. My 18 year old son thinks a BOSS style C stripe would look great on the sides too given the hood stripe I've selected, but I'm really leaning towards a simple stripe down the side, like the subtle ford racing stripes. So far comments at gas stations, ice cream stands and the weekend car shows has been very positive, so I don't want to go overboard. The hood stripe is temporary anyhow. Next summer I'll ditch the hood for a aftermarket ram air hood and have it painted with the very wide black stripe (nearly the entire hood).

Found a shop that will install all my vinyl stripe kits next Friday while I wait, so I should be able to post pics after I wash it.

Again, beautiful car...

John

Looks great Rene!! I just got mine for my white GT vert last week. I swear Ford needs to put this on the car from the factory. It changes the entire look of the front of the car. All for the better IMO!!!!!!!

I agree, the chin splitter adds the finishing touch to the front end.

Hot looking 'Stang, Rene!

The color and stripes kind of remind me of the yellow MFP highway interceptors used in "Mad Max." I like it!

Funny how the splitter looks like a stock item. Very tasteful execution that compliments the entire car...

Rene', your car is looking great! One question... and I guess someone else with the CDC classic chin spoiler can answer this too... but how much did it cost you to have it painted? I am thinking about becoming a member of the "chin club" very soon. I would get mine painted (body color with the black stripes). Thanks in advance.

I paid $185 to have mine painted... but the guy did an awesome job matching the tint of the Sonic Blue to my car.

Hey Rene, looks just great. Isn't the CDC chin spoiler just about the best fitting mod you've done??? I was so impressed with the quality and fit, Ford should take the hint and offer it up as an option on the 06's. But then again......maybe not, ours will look better!!

Mark.
