they said you should not need a front spacer...vegasjay should call them

sorry for the edit...im at work and im busy but cant keep of this site

That's very interesting because I talked to them today as well... My buddy here in Vegas (Punisher85) ordered the same wheel's and had the same problem...They hit to the point were even grinding of the casting mark on the caliper will still not clear the wheel. The 5/16 th in spacer does the trick and it's not a big deal. You can't even tell there on there. I don't know what Mustang tuning is going to do about it but if the wheel is not changed you will need the spacer. The wheel's are beautiful and very well made, to me the spacer is worth being able to run the wheel's. For the record Mustang Tuning has covered the cost of the wheel spacer plus the overnight fee, so I'm very happy with them and it has been a great customer service experiance... You will LOVE these wheel's but do yourself a favor and pick up the spacer's (Mustang Tuning will cover it), 5 x 4.5 is the bolt patern.

And the spacer thing ain't a big deal. 5/16" is the thickness of a #2 pencil. It's nothing you are gonna see. I think though after seeing the Dark Knight II's 18x9 regular bullitts, I'm gonna have to go with that setup. No deep dish wheels for me. But they look killer on your stang.

Yah, it's not a big deal. I would do it again I love these wheel's...

To bad they doint match but now im looking forward to the 10" ones in the next few days. Justin glad to hear the spacers made them fit. So is it safe to say you couldnt upgrade the brakes with those rims?
I think with the spacer's a brake upgrade wil be possible... I will find out soon.

Congrats man They sure do make a difference on launch don't they
[/quote]

Man you ain't kidding...I went to street war's at the track last night and had to re-learn everything. I was launching at 2500-3000 with stock rubber with no wheel hop. That resulted in mad wheel hop with the new rubber, there is so much more contact surface and much softer rubber. I could only launch at about 2000-2200 rpm depending on the track. It feel's much more solid though and the handeling is great! It will just take some getting used to and practice, practice, practice.

BTW: It was hot and humid out, something were not used to in the desert (the humid part). :bang: Anyway I was having a hard time last night, my best was 13.8 at 103 mph and my 60's were off at 2.0-2.2... :bang:

Where did you get the 5/16" spacer, Justin? And can you go any smaller, like a 1/4"?

I got them from Summit racing.com. I'm going to try 7/32's next and see if that will work...I want to go with the thinest spacer possible.

Minor update: I just installed 7/32's in spacer and all is good. I got another thread on the lug (now I can get 7 complete threads) and it's a perfect spacing from the caliper.

Got my 18 X 9 Anthracite wheels yesterday, and got them put on today. A bit pissed about the spacer thing though....

Thought everybody would like to see how the Anthracite looks on Redfire. I think

Harrier, thanks for the tip.

Thanks VegasJay (and all for the compliments).

Did you have any issues with the drivers side tire sticking out more than the passenger side? I have seen several threads about that, but I think that all of them were GT owners. My V6 was within 1/8" side to side. No adjustable panhard bar required. That money can go for other mods

Since MustangTuning is aware of the spacer issue, are they going to note that on the wheels page for the 05's? Specifically the Deep Dish sets? Or, better yet have they mentioned if they are looking to have the 18x9's modified or including spacers with the purchase?
