Anyone install the deep dish bullits yet?

Have a link? I'd be curious to know the offset/backspacing on a 10" deep dish wheel that fits the '05. I may have to go the custom wheel route.

Sure brother... there's 18x9, 9.5, and 10s

Thanks for the link... good to know it's possible. I acyually just got an e-mail from a guy at mustangtuning.com saying that they will have 18x10 deep dish bullitts available in a couple days. BUT... he says that these won't match the 18x9 deep dish or the regular 18x9's either, as far as the design of the spokes. He says they are all different, so you'd have to buy 4 of the same wheel. I asked the guy at mustangtuning.com to take some pics of these wheels so I can see how different they really are. If he sends any pics, I'll post here.
Yeah.... the primary reason I'm gonna stick with the same dimensions all the way around is so I can rotate them and wider tires in the rear tends to track a little funny.... grabs a different line/rut if you know what I mean.
on my '98 I just sqoze in as wide a tire as I could fit in the front, and went with the same in the back.

The deep in the back & normal lip in the front is the look I'd want too. That buddy system is a good way to get it done. Unfortunately I don't have available funds atm, they better sell them seperately after they realize people like the staggered look. Hopefully by then I will have the funds for it.
Still looking forward seeing those pics

Are the regular 9" and these new deep dish ones the same except for the size of the lip? Looks like it to me from the pics on there site. Couldnt you just put 255/45 on the front regular 9" and 285/40 on the back deep 9", or does the rim width also need to be wider in the back to look right?

I think the only ones that fit the 05's are the first few 9" that say 05 and the others are for up to 04's.

Problem is, I don't want 10" wheels (or a deep lip) on the front, and you'll have to buy all 4 wheels together because the spokes supposedly don't match the others. I'm thinking though that the spokes match enough. I think if you look at the wheels from the front (looking directly at the spokes) the wheels will be the same, but when you look at them from the side the spokes may be thinner on the deeper dish wheels. The thing is that you don't look at the front and rear wheels at the same time anyway... and the rear would be inset more and so it would be obvious they aren't exactly the same as the front. And with it being inset, you may not even be able to tell that the spokes are thinner.
I'm still waiting for the guy at mustangtuning to send me some actual pics (not just generic 18x9 deep dish bullitt pics like on their site) so we can decide for ourselves. My guess is mustangtuning doesn't want to sell us wheels unless they are an EXACT match for fear of people returning them. But, as long as the spokes look similar, I'd be fine with it.
And NOLAGT... I take it you are in New Orleans, right?

You are correct...im in new orleans
Where are you because I would love to hear a 05 in person with some mods! I should be ordering mine soon (trying to get a xplan #)
Thats what I was thinking...in order to stagger the back rim should be wider as well. I never had a car where this was an option so I didnt know. I like the idea of being able to rotate for sure but the idea of big fat tires in the back seems fun to. I will definetly wait to see what the 10" look like, If its close maybe I will trade two of my normal 9's for two 10's wiht someone if they only sell them in sets of 4.

If you had the anthracite instead of chrome, I would be into ordering some 18x10's and trading 2 for 2 with you. I have to have the anthracite though on mineral grey. I can see why you got chrome though getting a black car.
By the way, I'm north of New Orleans... in Mandeville. If you ever cross the Lake, let me know. Sometimes I do get down to New Orleans though.

I know they arent Bullits, but want to share some info..
These are Foose Nitrous 20 Inchers. The reason I love them so much is because they resemble bullits...5 spoke, kind of same shape, HUGE lips, and eye-catching design (

:bang: :bang: Huston we have a problem... :bang: :bang:
So the wheels arrive today as planed. I load'em up in the ol'pickup and take them to the tire shop to get the BFG's mounted. All is well, they put the wheel wieght's on the inside to maintain a nice clean look. I get home jack up the rear and mount the 285's. They look freakin awsome!! I jack up the front get the first one on, snug it up, give it a spin and to my dismay it rubs (more like hit's) the front brake caliper.... :bang: It lack's about a 1/16th to an 1/8 in of clearence. So needless to say I spent a great deal of time checking everything to see if I could make it work. The bottom line is I'm going to need a 1/4 in wheel spacer to make it work. I will be calling Mustangtuning first thing in the morning...
Here are some detail's on the wheel's:
1. The finish is flawless and they are beautifuly done.
2. The weight is 20.0 pounds exactly per wheel.
3. They are very three dimensional, and have a nice sharp crease in the center of each spoke. (like Crager's)
4. They balanced very well, requiring very little wheel wieght's.
5. 285's went on the 18x9 very well, i.e. no buldge etc...
6. The rear tires are flush with the outside edge of the fender well.
No if only I could get the front's on...I'm really staggered now! LOL
Well that's it for now, I'll give you all an update on Mustangtuning's solution...to be continued...

I would take a ride to Mandeville to hear your setup for sure! I will have to shoot you a PM when I get some time for a road trip! I am sick of hearing the exhaust on wimpy computer speakers.
Aww man that stinks about the front not clearing. Will the addition of the spacer on the front make it stick out more than the back? Also what about if one were to want a better brake/caliper setup. You think there will be clearance issues with this rim?
20 lbs...thats lighter than the normal 9" ones isn't it?
Ohh and PICS please :worship:
