I have no idea about the contract thing... hopefully they will decide to not dedicate themselves to any bowl contract and be truly independent and stay home for bowl games. Then maybe their following will die, the NBC contract will go away then they can come to the Big Ten before reviving their past glory as a middle of the road Big Ten team!!!!

I'd just like to say

oh yea, and little green puddles of goo.

Seriously good game though. I was a bit worried though... if ND's offensive line could have kept the pressure off, I didn't like the matchups of 6'5" receivers vs. micro corners.

That ND safety, #9, the boxer, that boy can hustle... him and AJ Hawk are throwbacks and play the game how it should be played.

Congrats John!
It was a great game and a joy to watch two great teams go at it.

They should play eachother more often.
Can;t wait for next year

(tried to post yesterday, but stupid computer )
yea, it was a great game and its a shame they don't play more often. Unfortunately, I don't think that will happen for a while... OSU has Texas next year and I think USC the following two years... what OSU plays two - three out of conference games a year, and with one of those filled by Texas and USC, another filled by an ohio college (meant to try to build in state rivalries and help ohio colleges, and hopefully deprives Meeechigan of players) there isn't much room in the next few years. Plus ND already has its share of commitments, like games v the Armed Services teams.

If only 2 impossibilities would happen in college football:
1) the BCS would die and be replaced by a playoff,
2) ND would join the Big Ten where it belongs... so I can despise them properly at least about once every two years .

2007 and 2008 non-conference games haven't been scheduled yet. I've already checked em out.

games aren't officially scheduled but deals with other teams are typically worked out years in advance.
