air/fuel ratio imbalance-solution?

Soo ... anybody know what this means and what I should do? That is without spending the big bucks on the dealer?

It's a little hard to read, but if you have an A/F imbalance I'm betting everyone wants to know what mods you're running.

Sorry if they're in your sig, the Android app doesn't show them so good.

There are no mods at all except for a tune. Running 91 oct with that tune. I had no issues all summer until last night.

I do have a peculiar clunking sometimes during cold start up idle, but I have never been able to catch it in a datalog as it occurs only sometimes. Runs fine when warmed up.

It is a P219A - bank 1 air/ruel ratio imbalance

Deleted the code, and it has not come back so far.

Feedback is welcome

Contact whomever tuned your car and have them adjust it.

I have.

However, there were no issues for the past few months.

There HAS to be a few with some technical expertise here?

Jim, it could be a couple of things: Faulty O2 sensor, exhaust leak before the sensor, intake manifold leak on one side, or faulty injector.

The code basically means that one side is off on the A/F ratio compared to the other side. I would look into the leaks first, then if the code reappears check the sensor and/or injectors.

Thanks Alex,

As soon as I get the car back (putting in Konis) I will check this.

Curiously, the check engine light came on after filling with gas. No connection, but I thought it curious.

Post your question on s197forum.com and you will get the answer. Lots of tuners over there.
