Things have reshaped themselves in the Big Ten. Ohio State should
be able to handle Penn St, Dont even play Wisconsin and all that's left
is going through the Michigans which is no easy task.
I just caught that lovely Mich State AT Ohio State 1998 on ESPN Classic.
Ohio State led 24-9 thanks in large part to the Defense. Ohio State looked
so listless as MSU came roaring back to win 28-24. That team was great
but they didn't do what the 2002 team did. Win 'em all.

Cooper. Or doing something original. I'm glad that he's gone.
Well it didn't go down the drain......have to thank Michigan atleast a little for beating PSU.
Bucks 2006 Co-Champions and will be an at large BCS team for sure.
Today's game was a heart stopper. On M's pooch punt to the 15 my hands started sweating and I was shaking. Then when Smith started picking the D apart I knew we'd win. The pass to Anthony just secured our victory.
Without a doubt Gonzalez has to be the most underrated player in college football.
GO BUCKS!!!!

I was hoping Mich. would win... It would look better under Notre Dame's belt since they would have defeated a team that defeated Ohio state. And now Ohio State will probably for sure be ranked higher than ND

And Lalo, Notre Dame still may have a chance to defeat(snicker) Ohio State if the other games remaining go right and BCS bowls pick right.
I'd love to see the Buckeyes stomp the Fighting Irish into little green puddles of goo.

yeah, I thought the idea of ND beating OSU was pretty funny too.

ummm, no the big ten only counts win and losses not head to head, both teams only lost one conference game and are by Big Ten rules co-champions, PSU got the automatic bid to be the Big Ten representative only because if there is a tie, the team that has not been there in the more recent past gets to go... the Big Ten rewards years of failure like that.

Even if it was the traditional way, PSU would have gone through because they won OSU

I'm not arguing that, I'm simply arguing that OSU is co-champion of the Big Ten. When the Buckeyes won the national championship Iowa was also undefeated in Big Ten play (didn't play each other) and therefore they were co-champions of the Big Ten that year. I'm not depriving them even though they suck.
It's actually too bad that Notre Dame is doing good, if they could only have continued to stink for a few more years they may have lost their TV contract with NBC, which might have then encouraged them to join the Big Ten, then the Big Ten would have 12 teams and could play an actual championship game like other conferences.
Divisons as I would think they would have worked out:
Ohio State, Michigan, Michigan State, Notre Dame, Illinois,
Wisconsin, Penn State, Minnesota, Iowa, Purdue,
with Indiana and Northwestern splitting one in each (no one really cares where they go)
(of course that's not based on any geography, just based on who seems to play whom every year - I put ND in the division I did since they seem to play Mich, MSU and Purdue every year, so best to have them in the conference with two of them)
Since ND is now seemingly successful, they won't join the Big Ten, so now who does the Big Ten try to get as a twelveth team? Only choice I see is to steal someone from the MAC, which just gives the Big Ten another whipping boy.
I agree with you about ND joining the Big 10. I'm tired of them being independent and having to play thougher schedules than other teams.
Actually, isn't this the last year ND will have that contract with the BCS... what will they do then?
