Agassi match last evening, AWESOME!!!!

I just wanted to ask if anyone on here is a tennis fan. I was up at the Open on Thursday (day session) and as always, its a great time (especially if your a hard core tennis fan). I left my friends house in PA around 8 am, got there around 11 am, and left the grounds up there around 6 pm. 2 1/2 hour drive home, and then got to watch one of the most memorable matches I have seen on over a decade. It didn't end till 1 am, and I am a bit tired today. What a performance last evening. Agassi isn't giving up yet!!! Way to go Andre, you are the man!!!

what was the final tally! I watched and seen that he won the first set. They were only part way through the second set when I turned it off

Jeff, I picked it up at the beginning of the 4th set. I'm not that much of a tennis fan . . . basically watched it because it's Agassi and this is it for him. But, that is one of the best sporting events I've ever seen. Simply amazing.

Score was 6-4, 6-4, 4-6, 5-7, 7-5. Clint, that match was simply amazing. I'm 29, and have played tennis for almost 20 years. Agassi actually got me into the sport. I started watching him in 1987 (when he had the really cool shoes. I'm a sneaker freak too, lol), and have been rooting for him ever since. I always took alot of flack on the tennis team in HS, since he never won the big torneys. When Wimbledon happened in '92, I was so excited. The best I ever saw was when he won the French in '99 (to complete a career Grand Slam) That was IMO, one of the best matches for him ever. Saturday is going to be tough for him. I know he's most likely getting another shot (his back is done, literally), but what a way to end a amazing career. I will truely miss the guy. I love tennis alot, and he is the main reason why I got into it when I did. Thanks for everything Andre, you will be sorely missed when you leave the game.
