World Cup basketball

Only 2 weeks left until the 1st game.

My country, Serbia, won last World Cup back in 2002, but since none of those players are playing now I doubt we'll win again.

USA and Argentina will probably play in the finals.

Not for sure.

Everyone though that USA will win 2002 World Cup for sure when they had home advantage (World cup was played at Indianapolis).

USA finished 6th at the end. Serbia was 1st, Argentina 2nd, Germany 3rd, New Zealand 4th, Spain 5th

I congratulate Serbia for their hard work. I hope you don't take this the bad way, but I was about to write Serbia and Montenegro.

Can;t wait to see this!

Supposedly the US has become a bit more devoted to the games, and they have chosen players that really want to play, so I would have to pick the US to run away with it. We'll see though.
I'm looking forward to seeing Germany perform also. Dirk Nowitzki is one awesome player

Yeah, Germans are pretty good too. Next to USA and Argentina they're probably one of the best.

Love to hear this about Dirk!
http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news;_yl...v=ap&type=lgns

"Nowitzki finished with 27 points, including 18 in the final quarter, and 12 rebounds. The German star of the Dallas Mavericks scored nearly at will against Yao and almost every other Chinese player."

Our key player is Darko Milicic (ex-Detroit Pistons, now Orlando Magic).

He's awesome.

Darko! The 7'2 teenager... I have only seen him play garbage time in the NBA. Is he really as good as people project him to be? I have never seen him play meaningful minutes. This competition will show the world what he can really do.

Actually since he was traded to Orlando Magic, Milicic had a lot playing minutes. 7.6 pts, 4.1 rpg and 2 bpg.

Next year will be even better for him. He just might be new Vlade Divac.

Yeah, it sucks.

ESPN and ABC did a great job on world cup soccer.

Nah, ABC only did a couple of games a weekend...

Telemundo was my main source of World Cup soccer. They showed EVERY game live, and even replayed them on one of their sister stations. Hey, maybe telemundo is showing some games lol
