Growing up in NC, I would have never thought that the 1st time NC became the champion of a professional sport that it would be in hockey.

Yeah they were a little quicker on the US channel (NBC). They turned the volume down on that microphone but you could still make it out.

It happened twice, Whitney was the first then someone else did it about 3min later.

I wanted Edmonton to win so after the game my sister in North Carolina called me to tell me she was sending a stanley cup champion hurricanes shirt to wipe my tears with.

 

I always wonder what ever happens to the losers of the COnference Final and the Stanley cup final....
The hats that are made for that game incase they win

Ya, I was thinking about that yesterday. Id like to get my hands on some 'Calgary Flames 04 Cup Champions' gear.

...Or 2007 cup champs...

 

Yeh butdid you see the faces ? I don't think it would have mattered at that point, maybe some salt in the cuts may get you a grin.

 

i was just thinkin back to the Buffalo series..I would have liked a Cup champs 06 hat but I don't think they start making them till they actually get to the round or even somewhat close to winning (game 3 or something)

 

Buffalo I recall letting my wife well x out to take a picture by Old Faithful in Wyoming and when I seen the Buffalo comin toward I just had to start driving away. What's in a name huh well other than a Buffalo burgar ummm btw the x thing comes to mind.
