First of all, banned for what? Stating an opinion?

Secondly there was only 1 team in the Eastern Conference with more points than CAR(112) and that was OTT(113). 1 point...thats a shootout loss.

Cam Ward only played 28 games this year...Just imagine.

The Canes were also leading the Eastern Conference when they lost Erik Cole.

Have you looked at the Canes roster, it is stacked...and not to mention it now seems they have one of the top goalies in the league.

And what was so terrible, about Martin Gerber ?? just because he ran into somewhat of a slump, during the Montreal series, doesn't mean you give up on him.. Even Cam Ward himself, acknowledged, if it weren't for Martin Gerber..The Canes wouldn't have made the playoffs, to begin with..But that's ok Scott, you go right ahead and bask in your glory, because as I said in an earlier post..around this same time, next year..It will be the Buffalo Sabres, who will win the Stanley Cup

did you see the smiley... it means..I was joking...chill...

Overall points do not tell the whole story..
Look at Detroit. THEY had a truckload of points, but the overall picture is skewed because in their division, they played VERY poor teams

The old adams division ...or Northeast now... was THE toughest division.
With Ottawa, Buffalo, Montreal, Boston, Toronto nipping at the heels for the first 20-30 games, until Buffalo and Ottawa started on their streak sessions to over 110 points.

Only 2 teams in Southeast even MADE the playoffs, the rest were 90 points and under...

What would be fairer is each team played each team the exact same number of times...but that is expensive etc., so they tend to play the teams in their division way more times.

They are talented... again, didn't say they weren't.

Cam Ward has saved their buns in the playoffs,
I've watched 75% of their games and he's kept them in. Which is what you need come playoffs...
The cards have just fallen their way in the playoffs.

Ward has been there when their key players have fallen off the train.
If they had only Gerber to rely on... they woulda been out first round.
Great goalie...in a slump...

I won't go as far to say the Sabres will win the cup next year, as ANYthing can change.
Injuries have put a lot of teams down this playoffs.

Buffalo, Philly, Ottawa, Edmonton etc etc etc
That's just the way things go...

I dont know about the part about one of the best goalies in the league. Theres always a cinderella team that rides the goalie deep into the playoffs (not saying carolina did this), but one hot streak that happens to coincide with playoff team does not make him one of the top in the league.

What I said, about the Sabres winning the cup, next year..Was wishful thinking, on my part..I should have re-phrased that by saying, that hopefully by this time next year, they will win the cup..And of course your right, anything can happen..Especially with all the injuries, that cost them any chances, of winning the cup, this year..Therefore, I should have known better, and now stand corrected..

Yea this years playoffs have been full of great hockey...

The new rules allowed that, full of end-to-end offensive hockey.

I don't like the defensive delay of game rule...

or the no change on icing rule..(but thats prolly because I am a player)

Great hockey though.

well I don't really have proof, but I told my friend the score of tonights game would be 4-3 Edmonton in OT. Since we're going into overtime now and the score is 3-3 I got part of it right, now I just have to wait to see who wins

Just one question... What in the wide, wide world of sports happened to Ward?

They just did a radio poll here and 60% of Calgarians are cheering for Carolina.

So... that means Edmonotons gonna lose. Cause we all know radio polls are never wrong, and things always go the way the majority wants.

Edmonton could at least have the decency to hang the US flag properly and actually get someone who can sing both anthems. I refuse to believe that guy is an opera singer.

On another note, this'll go to seven games. It's better for ratings.
