Does anyone know how many Ford SVT dealers there are in the United States?
I live in the Minneapolis area, and we only have two.
I realize the ability to order is based on previous sales, etc. but just trying to come up with a rough estimate of how many dealers there are that can actually order the GT500's.

There is some possibility of Ford doing away with exclusive SVT franchises and making SVT products available to all dealers...still up in the air

to answer someones question on x or a plan for the cobra. The answer is NO. Ford does Not accept those plans for svt products

I qualify for the x plan and was told NO. Hummm- Now that you mentioned that some people have , I would like the skinny on this.If true I think I can afford a cobra. Remember X plan = 4% below dealer cost!! That works for me!!

Apple Valley Ford in Apple Valley and Tousley Ford in White Bear Lake.
I talked to the SVT guy at Apple Valley yesterday and I am 9th on his list, but the list is very informal at this point, basically your name and phone number.

That info is not correct. It might be 4% below dealer cost for a A plan but not X. I have X and have purchased Ford's with X and it's withing a couple hundered of invoice.

Granted, with the Shelby, I think you're gonna have a real hard time finding a dealer to offer discount pricing, but I'm sure there will have to be at least a few -- especially as time goes on. Unless, of course, Ford makes the decision that discount plans are not to be accepted on it at all.
I qualify for Z-plan myself (retiree version of A-plan) so it would really help me, if I could use it...

I sure hope that they keep to the SVT dealer formula. The top <5% with the very best customer service. I don't want some freakin kid working on my car who does not respect what it means to me. I have had excellant service with mine since the day I fell er bought it.

I agree. I want to stay exclusive to certain dealers. The one I am ordering from has an impressive service dept. Only one crew services the SVTs Roush and Saleen.

Yea, it was Mike. We sat and talked for about 20 minutes. Shot the breeze about everything from cars to the nice curvy roads in southeast Minnesota that are a well kept secret (oops, not anymore) to Italy and on and on.
Real nice guy, straight shooter, makes it easy to talk to him.
