huh?

i dont think a little moisture would hurt anything.... probably wouldnt suck any more rain than the normal intake under a downpour type condition....

The reason you haven't heard anything is probably because it is not going to happen. I'm assuming that prototype was for a show and that is it.

A little moisture wouldn't hurt but look at the pics and imagine getting caught out in the rain with that ram air intake. Your air filter would get soaked in seconds and you would be screwed. I wouldn't risk getting water into my cylinders.

They're still moving ahead with it -- I can't say much as I don't have specific details at the moment, but I know it's coming!

My understanding is that it won't be available until mid-year at the earliest.

Tom, I believe there is a filter somewhere between the scoop and the TB. Plus I'm sure there is some sort of water drainage system like the CDC system. Don't think Saleen would just throw this out for sale without proper testing.

I just do not see how water will be kept out. Even with a drainage system, the filter would get soaked in the rain.

Water would follow the same path as air.

Ok this is simply awesome. If this is as cool as it seems I'm very tempted to get this and slap on a saleen hood for the heat extracters. Together that would be a very cool combo I believe. Hopefully this comes to market soon though!
