hello all.
i went to diblasi ford in corona, ny and saw a mineral grey ROUSH stage 1 and Saleen side by side.
Let me just say, the saleen is hands down the winner in stunning styling and looks. Roush is missing something! Its just my opinion so i dont want to insult anyone.
The saleen successfully combines old school USA muscle with modern day accents. Its amazing! the only thing i wish saleen did was keep the LARGE fog lights on the grill. it looks so much MEANER that way. im still wondering why they didnt! if i ever get the saleen, i will add it myself custom!
Ok...lets start with fit and finish. MY GOSH! I had BMW M3, Merc CLK55 and now Audi and let me say....the way the car feels, the way the door shut, the echo of the car, how solid the doors feel, fit and finish of interior...i was VERY VERY impressed. the Saleen seats were simply amazing! the dash, the steering wheel and the system were all very very nice.
i actually filmed the car with my miniDV and if i ever figure out how to create an mpeg out of it, i'll upload it for you guys!
the stance of the car is just BRAUN and TOUGHNESS. I promise you, if tomorrow, i drove off the lot and pulled up next to a ferrari modena, all heads will be on the Saleen. Porsche, M3...FORGET ABOUT IT! no one would ever glance at those cars!
the Road presence of this Saleen is to rediculous.
I like the rear. i took a good close look and saleen did a great job of extending it out a few inches. it really makes the car look more balanced the roush: with its huge front spoiler, the rear of the car looks too short and unbalanced. saleen designers really took care in creating its bodykit.
i started up the car and the motor was rediculous! american muscle all the way.
i dont even know how anyone could do a 350z or G35 coupe over this car.
let me tell you, 325hp is plenty in my book.
The tested handling, a car that has such a distinctive look and handling like a vette? are you kidding me?
So there it is my friends on this forum.
Enjoy the mustang experience. this might not ever happen again for us in a long long time

Sorry, had to.
But yeah, I agree, the Saleen looks great, in the same sort of way that the '67 and '68 Shelby Mustangs looked great. And you're right, 325 hp and 340 ft lbs of torque ought to be plenty, considering it will go through the slalom at almost 70 mph...enough to curl anyone's toes!
