I am not following you insurance argument, no will own this car for at least another year, the production car has yet to be unveiled and the official engine output will be known before people buy and insure the car. I don't think they will have 450+ on the window sticker. Plus Ford isn't paying the insurance premiums, I highly doubt they will hold back on the cars output to reduce insurance premiums, they are going to be insanely expensive regardless.
Ford wasn't paying the insurance premiums in 1968-1971 either but that's the reason given as to why they underated ALL of their high performance engines.

I think the shelby will be underated like the 03-04 cobras and ford will do the same thing and say it only has this much power just so people wont get mad at them like they did with the 99 cobras. They said the 03-04 cobras had 390hp when alot of them where getting around 420hp at the engine but when it goes to the wheels gets less and pluss i think if they would have said the 03-04 cobra had 420hp it would have cost more so they just said atleast 390hp and that is what there doing with the shelby saying atleast 450hp + but wont give any specific numbers yet.
