I didn't think we'd get to see pictures today, I wonder what will change for a production model.

I'm surprised there isn't more scoops, what about you guys
Meh...we don't need no stinking scoops! We got "more than 450HP"!!!!

not saying it needs scoops, I like it how it is I'm just surprised and wondered if others were too

Niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice

Still think it would have been more true to the Shelby name if SVT designed functional brake scoops and upper air extractors as the original GT500's had as well as the full length tailights. From the side it resembles to much of the plain GT minus the rocker stripes.

Oh well I still love it!! :worship:

Those shelby letters on the trunk lid dont go well with the car. They look very tacked on. I know they are going for retro but they should have come up with something that flows with the car better.

I don't think the plastic headlight covers will make production.
The redline looks like it starts at 6000rpm.

Id have to dissagree with ya. I'm loving the SHELBY lettering on the back. Give the idea of the retro look. Its alot sexier than the imprint on the bumber that they did with the older Cobras.

All im hoping for now is for them to keep it under $40K and to see the options of all the color schemes! I would love to see an old school diamond blue, the weivel blue would work as well.

WOW - I'm starting to believe that Ford really is into "bringing back the legend" with this all new Mustang......if the rumors about a couple of "speciality" models are true - the Mustang fan is really going to have a choice of owning one of several legends.....time to trade the GT already.....darn was just getting it modded to where I wanted it!

How much for the Shelby GT500? Anyone have a clue as to MSRP - then the dealer "market adjustment" of course....

To add to my previous comments about the rear diffuser being functional. Those hood vents in the hood could be there to create some downforce along with that cleaner air from the rear diffuser. That lareg grille certainly stinks in enough air to allow some good flow out of those rather large vents. Also of note are the air-splitter in front and the rocker extensions below the doors.

Team all of this up with the ducktail that no doubt cleans up rear airflow too, and certainly adds downforce, and we have what looks to be a tasteful, clean, and effective aero package. This car was obviously designed with aerodynamics and downforce in mind.

Like the rear bumper, don't try to make it look like the GT (supercar). It's a mustang!
Well, it could be using a diffuser in the back like the GT does to clean up aerodynamics.....you know...that old idea of function. And, a diffuser looks like......a diffuser. This is not a design element with a lot of room for variety.

I understand the purpose of a diffuser. I also understand the use of a very weird looking wing. Doesn't mean it looks good on a car. I really doubt that in the real world that rear bumper would do anything for the way the car handles. Sorry, just my opinion. I think it would have looked cooler ala 03/04 style with it just blacked out. Also, I don't like the non-painted rocker panels. However, I do see whay they didn't paint them (to go with the shin spoiler and the rear bumper). Just my opinion.

Anyone still want to stick to the rumour that there will be no SVT.

But I heard it from my local dealer............
