Interesting business move for Lysholm. Turning down 7000+ units per year.
Much better business move then accepting the contract and not being able to fulfill it. If they can't produce the desired quantity, what would be the point of accepting it?

Has anyone actually read this article? The original poster posted little information then didn't come back. It would be nice to know a little more on the article, this is on it's 6th page and we only know two performance stats.

Well then:

How well did it drive?

How well did it accelerate?

How well did it handle?

How well did it ride?

How comfortable was it?

Basically, how well did they like it?

Are there any numbers other than just straight line acceleration. What did it do in the slalom, skidpad, breaking, ect...

"The steering was a wink quicker than the mustang GT and delivers considerably more grip and major league stopping power. The GT 500 should deliver enough compliance to make everyday driving a plaesure than punishment, and we anticipate that interior noise levels may actually be lower than they are in the stock 2005 GT.the only negative dynamic comment in our notebookat the end of this brief time behind the wheel had to do with the power rack-and-pinion steering, which was quick(2.6 turns lock to lock)and accurate but felt a little light at high speeds"This all came from the article and apperently they loved it.I will be happy to answer any more questions.

WOW! ALL that info is taken out of context. You say batterys have acid and lead which are toxic. Well first of all, all cars have batterys, second lead is an earth metal. How is that pollution to the earth. The lead was taken from the Earth as lead and will be put back as lead.

As for factories... Yes factories do pollute, but we need factories for everything. whether it be film or cars. Plus where did anyone ever state the pollution of making a product? We are talking about pollution the actual products they make themselves. And although fossil fuels themselves may not be in that short of supply right now... THEY are still not that readily availiable. (Middle East, I dont think I need to say more)

And you say "old toyota" thats rediculous.... How can you compare an old car to a new car. We are comparing NEW to NEW.

Please do be stupid, Everyone here knows darn well that the Shelby GT500 will pollute more than most other New cars. ITS A FACT.

And how the f' does film pollute that badly? Really? When thrown away all it is, is a plastic.

If film is as bad as a Shelby then so are mlk cartons, and any thing else plastic for the matter. Its all a bunch of bs. You just want to argue.

Quit thinking you are "DEEP" b/c your just as ignorant as Obleeding
FYI plastic is a pollutant. FYI you cant really compare the Shelby to the Toyota and claim one is more polluting than the other because you left out one very important value. How many miles are you going to drive the Shelby vs. the Toyota. In my case I would only drive the Shelby on weekends and when the weather is good. The Toyota would be a daily driver and hence get alot more miles put on it. So while the Toyota may be better on gas it will be driven a heck of alot more. So in MY case the Toyota would pollute more. This could go on and on because everyone is different and their needs different.

The only thing I could find was that O'connell forcasts a skidpad of .91g or .92g and they think that is a little conservative.Car and Driver expects at least .94g.
