Hey how much did those brackets run you ? And they are trying to sell me retainers? Do I need those? I was quoted 90 apiece bracket and 13 apiece retainer

 

Yeah. I was quoted 68 bucks apiece for the brackets. I tried to find them locally without success. Finally, I posted to this forum. Another user gave me his when he upgraded his brakes. Good Luck!

 

get the V6 brake upgrade kit from cjponyparts. i got the kit on sale one time for $130. the dealer here wanted $70 each just for the brackets. someone just told me today the kit is going for $150 right now, but even thats not bad for 2 brand new rotors, the brackets, new slides, all new bolts( all ford parts). the bigger brakes are great. i didnt have them on long and wanted new rears so i went with powerstop drilled/slotted rotors and ceramic pads from brakemotive. 4 rotors and 4 sets of pads, V6 or gt size, and the zink plating sure is pretty for $205.
