MAC-ProChamber on 05 SOHC 4.0
The site i found says that the prochamber setup i found is specifically made for running with the MAC LT's... thats a pretty big investment then.. well over 400 dollars... or can you still run their system with out the LT's??

I am running mine without the LT's!! Pulls hard, sounds good.. When you jump WOT on it, it sounds awsome.. Did you look at the pic of it installed on my car? There you can see I'm not using LT's.. I pln to move to them later, but it's better than the XPIPE for now..
A good muffler shop can fabricate it into the system..
The rear looks so good from the rear w/o any mufflers. Man if it sounds as good as it looks I think it's worth it.
So how about it, is the sound controllable to keep it down when it may be needed. Anything under 2k RPMs for example?

Now understand this point ManEHawke.. Please!
I have experience with the XPIPE in the following configurations..
1. XPIPE with Series 40's..
2. XPIPE with Magnaflow resonators
3. XPIPE Straight-Through
With the Prochamber, I have experience with the following..
1. ProChamber with Magnaflow resonators
2. ProChamber Straight-Through
Now, the XPIPE with the series 40's sounds really good.. Basically a very good V8 sound at lower rpms, but it leans out at higher rpm.. This means, that the higher the rpm, a slight rasp can be detected do to some exhaust not being scavenged..
With the XPIPE and MagnaFlows, since these are resonators, the same applies, allthough the high rpm rasp is quieted down by a smoothing of the sounds based on the location of the resonator, which is at the end of the line..
XPIPE Straight-through is basically a nice louder sound on the low-end, and a really raspy high end, in which the gig is up on a secret V8.. You can tell its a V6..
With the Prochamber and the resonators, the Prochamber emits a much lounder and deeper tone than the XPIPE, so with the resonators, the really caputure the increased frequency and muffle alot of sound.. Sounds good, but just too quiet..
With the Prochamber Straight through, you get a really deep lowend rpm, which maintains a deep tone at the higher RPM, followed by a distinctive V8 growl.. When you jump WOT on the Prochamber, (ALL) exhaust gases are scavenged no matter how fast they exit the exhaust chamber.. Unlike the XPIPE, where a percentage of scavenge is lost because some gases are moving to quickley to be heated up, in which to produce a deeper exhaust note.. Since the design of the Prochamber is to insure 100% scavenge ability, this means all the gases must be scavenged in order to escape the chamber.. This means a hotter gas as it exits the chamber.. The hotter the gas, the deeper the tone..
Basically, once the gases leave the header, they are dumped into a rectangular box.. Here they mix up and get hot.. The path for exit is not set.. All gases from both sides of the block can either go out of the left or right exhaust tube, as it exits the chamber.. This means that even at high rpm, 100% of every exhaust gas created by the engine will get scavenged, and since it is hotter, all exhaust notes are maintained as a deep tone, as opposed to rasping out, and a higher frequency..
The theory is not just theory, but fact.. It works.. I have tried very hard to get my car to rasp.. It wont.. I have dropped it into 2nd gear at 40mph getting on to the freeway, and punched it to WOT.. The car pulls hard, and each note I hear is deep..
Even though my attempts to bring this new revalation to you all has somewhat been overlooked and dis-respected, trust me when i say in time, it will be forgotten that I was the first to discover this.. Someone else will install one, and bring you his thoughts, and my work will be forgotten.. Its ok.. Atleast I know what you are all missing.. I hate the fact that you all cant experience this sound, but in time, it will be the single most important mod you can do to the 4.0.. Trust me.. The key you all need to remember, is that 100% of all gases will be scavenged..
The XPIPE, and the HPIPE cant claim this..
Part of this speculation is my fault, because I have failed to produce a quality sound clip.. I'll keep working on it..
I understand all it will take is a good sound clip to end this debate.. I understand this.. I apologize for the delay.. But my daughter spilled some coke on my sony laptop, which was my fault.. LOL!!

Sounds good, but my main concern was the quantity of sound in case you wanted to stay under the radar if needed. I am giddy of the quality of sound the Prochamber with no mufflers makes (kinda leaning to it as I trust your pursue in V6 exhaust quality) , but sometimes here in CA some cops lay that eye at you and if you shifted at under 2k would you be obvious or can the tone be keeped down with a light foot.

By all means, install mufflers on it, if need be.. It will still sound good.. Mufflers and Resonators emit different sounds.. When I first put it on I had the resonators on.. It was too quiet.. I went back to install the series 40's, but like the open sound before I heard the 40's..Run the prochamber to fit your lifestyle.. Atleast you know it will sound v8 to 6000rpm..

No! What I would be doing is taking out the Y pipes and putting this one in it's place. Thus, keeping the Magnaflow's! I love these things, and they are a straight through design so I am sure it has something to do the gains I am getitng.
darn, I got mine at hopupracing.com for like $460 w/free shipping! I just went to get a link to them and they are up to $515...and they claim they are on sale. V6mustangstuff has them for $469. I found sites charging as much as $600 for this Y pipe kit. Is it me or did the price go up? I remember reading about people that got this kit for $430.
Hmmmm. If I ever decide to sell them, you will be the first to know.

I am very sorry for not providing a good sound clip.. I know I'll be in the dog house for awhile until I can submit one.. LOL!!

Rome wasn't built in a day, for this I can wait. After all, I do have two exhaust pipes sticking out the back of my car....I can wait...I have my sights on other things in the near term. LOL. Like catching up to Scrming!

I am so unsure right now on which one to get.. I like the SC350 as well, as well as the X-Charger.. We have so many options now, I am completely confused! LOL!
Ok guys, I need a host.. I have one clip which is worthy... I couldnt get one driving yet, but this one is ok enough to hear...
Whose gonna host so I can email the video?
This video is from about 20ft away.. I had to set my camera this far, or else it would distort the camera's mic.. Hurry up, I need a host! LOL!
I'll make more later.. I really want to make one which has me jumping on it while driving, but those are so hard to do alone... I'll think of something..

Ok I emailed it to RaginStormlock!! Its a large file, so once he reads this, then downloads it, hopefully he'll post the link..
Ok, its fully uploaded for RaginStormLock.. He should be able to download the video now..
