I actually did it with a hammer & the tire iron from the mustang! haha. Just stuck it down there and broke the material up until it fell out. Theres a little metal screen in each cat as well, to get that out I just bent a coat hanger up and pulled it out. Hope that makes sense. I can probably give you some pictures or something you really need them. Basically just make sure you get all the material out.

Before anyone decides to destroy their cats, you might want to take a quick look at what a stock H pipe costs new.

Very true, they're a pretty penny if you buy them new. However I see them often on craigslist around here. Some for as low as $75. I had a friend who had one lying in his garage which was handy around inspection time.
