When is it time to re-grease poly bushings?

When is it time to re-grease poly bushings? Also, while I have your attention, please describe what would be considered "normal" noise when using poly bushings in the lca's, uca, anti-roll bars, and panhard bar.

Thanks in advance,
Jon

Jon... it's difficult to describe what normal poly bushing noise is.. I live a 1/4 mile down a dirt road that becomes a washboard surface regularly.. You will be able to hear noise as the control arms and panhard bar move up and down. But, you shouldn't hear any snapping or popping from the suspension. I hear a low, dull sounding noise as the suspension move.

As far as greasing the bushings, I have mine done every time I do an oil change.. if they get dry you will know it, they tend to squeak a lot or your noise will get much louder. If you live where it rains a lot you might consider using a marine grease instead of a regular or synthetic chassis grease.

Simple as that every oil change and depends on climate. Normal noise should be the minute stiffnes noise, like a knock of to rubber mallets. But depends on when you lubed them last also.

As mentioned, do it as part of your routine maintenance or...if they squeak then grease them.
