Smile Tuner finally working.

I purchased a used predator from a local seller for $175. The only problem was he left a tune in the tuner. Anyway, he put the original backup in the tuner, so now it works. I loaded the canned 87 performance tune. The car does feel quicker. Does anyone know how much of an increase of hp and tq the 87 performance tune is compared to stock?

That's great you got it working, with the canned tune probably about 25 hp. Are you running a CAI?

25 with just the 87 per. tune? I don't have a CAI yet. In the near future I will order one from Doug. Doesn't he give free tunes if you buy a CAI? I know he does if you purchase a tuner from him.

Unfortunately, no. You must buy the CAI and tuner for free updates. In order to take full advantage of the tune you gotta free up the intake and give her more air!
If you have an auto. you may feel the different shift points and such. I don't know if it's a good idea to run that tune without the CAI cause your Air/Fuel mixture will be off.

I may get the car dyoned tomorrow to make sure my A/F is not too off. If it is I may purchase a CAI from a local dealer.

Had the car dynoed today. Last time I did three pulls with an avg of 278 hp and 285 LBS of tq. Today I did three pulls with predator 87 performance tune with an avg of 285 hp and 300 lbs of tq. The temp may have negatively impacted today's pulls. Last time the temp was about 66 today it was 78. Overall, I am satisfied with the numbers. My A/F was not affected that much. Stock I was running a max of about 13 and min of 12.5. Today with the 87 tune I was running between 13.5 and 13.
