EDIT!!

Okay once I started reading all the info on CJ Pony Parts website I found out that the TCI autoshifter does not qualify for the 10% off and it's regular price is $339.95 just like Jegs and Summit. I saw it advertised on Ebay for the $315 price plus shipping but did not get the feeling it was offered by TCI.

Come on you cheap Ba$tard just buy it

Well I'm not going to say now because it was pointed out to me this morning the CJ Pony Parts now has them on there website for $305 and I think if I read the shipping details correctly anything over $300 is free shipping. Much better than the deal I was working on.

Ordered the shifter from CJ Pony Parts this afternoon for $305.96 shipped to my door. I can't imagine anyone out there could find a better price than this one!!!!!!!!!!!

Can any of you guys that have purchased a new clip for the cable attachment give me a part number? My local Ford dealer tells me there is no clip listed separately. He says if there is one it might come with a new cable assembly.

It's a 4C3Z-7H181-AA. I have two extras in the garage, if you can wait a few days PM me your address and I'll mail you one!

So wait.... installing the TCI rachet shifter requires extra parts not included in the assembly?

Tim

Thanks so much for the offer Tim. Let me give this part number to my Ford dealer this morning and see if he can come up with one. Just getting the part # is great help. I am not in any hurry since the car will pretty much sit the next few months.

Edit: Tim I got a couple of clips on order with my dealer. Getting the correct part number from you did the trick. Thanks again for your help!!

No... the TCI rachet shifter comes with everything you need. This part # is for the plastic retaining clip where the shifter cable attaches to the TCI shifter. There is a good chance of breaking this clip when removing it during the swap and it is suggested to get a spare before starting.

I am hanging onto mine as long as I still own the car, "just in case" there is a problem with the TCI or if I sell/trade the car I might put the dtock one back.

Finished up my install today. Very easy to install and a very quaility piece of hardware. I am really impressed. Everything works sitting in the garage. Tons of rain today but that's what we need to wash the salt off the roads. Hope to get a test drive next week!!

What is that button on the center console just in front of your e-brake?

Do those come in a heated version?? While I haven't taken might out of the garage yet I was messing with it last night and it was only 22 degrees outside. At times like this there is alot to be said for the stock plastic handle. Where did you get that? It does look cool!

I got it from Summit or Jegs. I don't remember But, it was one of those two. It took some getting used to at first, but now I like it real well on my DD.
