Ok guys I installed the JLT unit today. Our car has only 440 miles on it. I tested it against another competitor. The car was run at identical temperatures and the dyno room temp was even controlled to around 65-68 degrees. I was a bit of a non believer, but the JLT put down 12.3rwhp more and 15.1rwtq more! We didn't even spend a buch of time tuning because I had to get home. We just got the a/f ratio safe and left it alone for now. It picked up these numbers almost across the entire pull. My car has many other mods including exhaust and cmp's. I cant reveal my numbers because of the article coming in 5.0, but just wanted to pass this on.

That is GREAT!! I knew it would work better.
Thanks for the results. I'll talk to you next week in Bradenton.

Will you have a booth as a vendor at Bradenton or are you racing?

If your here and want to chat feel free to give me a call tomorrow. 757 335 1940
Also I will be at Hooters tonight with a JLT sweat shirt on.
There is no way to do a "real" CAI on the 05 due to the solid metal fenders, plus there is major air flow under that hood.
Talk to you later

I think i've been to the hooters that you are referring to, the beers there will make you think a little crazy, won't they?

I'm still a little confused with tuning part for the JLT CAI.
I already have an SCT XCalibrator.
I've done only one mod - 3.90 Gears.
I'm running a 91 octane tune.
Now, if I purchase a JLT CAI kit, can I get a custom tune (on CD) that has the correct A/F ratio, 91 octane (engine timing), and 3.90 gear settings?
If I understand correctly, the SCT XTR file wil be sold for $75 ? That's a little steep. $50 would be more reasonable but still a little high.
I can actually adjust the A/F ratio myself using SCT's XtremeTune software, however, I wouldn't know what to set it to.
