Switched CAI out and redynoed
#82
I just got of the phone with JLT and I have one coming next week. I am scheduled for a custom tune with my shop next Friday so I am looking forward to see what my shop can do and whether they can match or maybe exceed the numbers that JLT has posted. If I get anything close this intake will be a steal for $150.

Ok can all you who have ordered the JLT CAI with the SCT/DTP tune explain what the final price was including shipping. Earlier in the post I believe it stated a price $425 and after a call to Jay he quoted a price of $575. Im confused and need more info before I order. I like the product and plan to install this myself, how easy is it to install the SCT/DTP tune yourself??? Can someone please set me straight here!

The price on this kit has never changed. It has all ways been $575 for everything.
The JLT is $150 and the SCT with custom tune is $425. Normal price for a tuner.
Let me know when your ready.

I ordered the JLT with the SCT/DTP tune today. I'll post the results and pics as soon as it's installed. Jay Tucker was very helpful and knowledgeable about the products and ordering and my questions. Im confident this is going to make a hugh difference in the performance of my stang. I think everyone should take a close look at this kit, as compared to the C&L, which I almost purchased.

ccome on! the suspense is killing me! where are those Pulls????
if all works out in Jay's favor I will have to add his "CAI" to my collection of Pre Mustang Parts
P.S.
Is it wrong that I have spent the last three days playing Grand Tourismo 4 and modding the heck out of the 05 Mustang? (got her up to 468 Hp)

I wont be able to do a tune / dyno pull until the 12th I do have the parts, they are fairly straight forward and seem to be failry good quality.
Be patient , I will have comparison results (to the MMR) on Saturday the 12th.

Can someone who has the JLT intake answer this question? Is the filter end supported in anyway by a bracket or something? How is it supported? In looking at the pictures I can't tell.

I have not installed it on tye car yet, but I did assemble it. It is only supported by the intake tube itself. It is possible that it may lay/rest on the hot water hose - but I highly doubt it.

Ok guys I installed the JLT unit today. Our car has only 440 miles on it. I tested it against another competitor. The car was run at identical temperatures and the dyno room temp was even controlled to around 65-68 degrees. I was a bit of a non believer, but the JLT put down 12.3rwhp more and 15.1rwtq more! We didn't even spend a buch of time tuning because I had to get home. We just got the a/f ratio safe and left it alone for now. It picked up these numbers almost across the entire pull. My car has many other mods including exhaust and cmp's. I cant reveal my numbers because of the article coming in 5.0, but just wanted to pass this on.

I had another one on my car already and we made 2 pulls with it first and then immediatley switched. The very next run we had to shut it off at 4k because it was so lean from improved airflow and design, this kit works!
