Super Charger Question

I have purchased a Vortech Super Charger and I need to get a Bypass/Blow off valve to go with it. Vortech recommended the Race or Mondo valve. My question(s) are 1. Is there a better valve out there to purchase and 2: The race version starts at 8 psi and the Mondo is for 12 and up. Does it make a difference? By this I mean can I run the Mondo with only 8 psi? Other than the cost, is it worth it? I am not sure of what it will need yet for boost but I want to make sure it is covered? Your help is appreciated. Rather have too much than not enough unless it becomes a hindrance.

Sorry can't help ... Mine is positive displacement and has an internal bypass valve, and of course no blow off valve.

Bill, IMHO I think you're best option is to contact Vortech and address your questions concerning the Race/Mondo valve to them, being that Vortech recommended the valve to begin with. Unfortunately, I cannot provide an answer for you, as I have a PD blower which has an internal bypass valve.

I'd also contact Vortech. I have a centrifugal unit (ProCharger) and I used the BOV that came with it. My boost is limited to 7.5 PSI since I did not upgrade the internals.

Thanks guys. I have posted a few times to Vortech but never received any answers back. I ended up getting the mondo so my next question is on the pulleys needed to be changed out to an 8-rib system. I also emailed Vortech on this but that was tonight so I will cut them some slack here (lol).

Sometimes a phone call yields quicker results.
