I saw this weekend Blade Trinity that’s in the theater right now. He drives and old bad to the bone charger. I can't believe that Dodge is making a 4-door car and calling it the charger. Do they even know what they used to build? Maybe we need to send them a picture of it or something. Sounds like the charger went the way of the GTO :bang: If Ford did this to the mustang I would vomit.

Here is a pic of Blade's ride :headbang: :headbang: :headbang:

Saw a jet black magnum with 20's the other day, Guy had blacked out the grill and the tint as well, Looked sexy as heck.

Now if the WAGON looks sexy, the sedan can only look better.

People underestimate the new charger and overestimate the old, IMO the old ones were fugly anyway.

I'm with you Rak.. the old Mopar designs were exactly why i didn't like Mopar, but now with the 300 and the Magnum, I'm hooked. I can't say the new Charger is jawdropping, but lets see it after it gets out of the gate, I bet it'll look better in person.

I think its an awesome car, if they had named it anything else, I bet we'd all like it. I mean think about it! DC has gone from a goofy, cab-forward, fwd intrepid to this muscular, long hood short deck, v8 powered rwd sedan. That's just not a very flattering colour.

I'm with you, Vintage; car manufacturers recycling the muscle car monikers of yore (e.g. GTO, Charger) is lame. The old Charger kicks serious tail, the new one, well, yikes.

There is nothing wrong with reviving a nameplate, as long as it pays tribute to the original car.

While the Charger name is blasphemous on a 4-door in the eyes of most, people don't remember that the name was also tacked onto the Cordoba in the 70's and FWD econoboxes in the early 80's, that's even worse in my book.

I do still believe it would have been better if it was called the Coronet or Magnum sedan. They should have saved the Charger name if they ever built a 2-door coupe on the LX chassis.

Good point! It is stupid to dilute the Charger name even more with this 4-door car.

You have GOT to be kidding! The 68/69 Charger is one of the most aggressive and well-designed muscle cars to ever roll off the line! How can you possibly say it's ugly?!?!

No way,

I just cannot say this car is goodlooking. Is has nothing on the GM cars of the same time periods.

Ugly

Beautifullly styled.

How many cars were actually built with the hemi? Barely any.

The majority of chargers used smaller motors.

Everyoen talks as if every charger was a firebreathing god of a car, the majority were not very fast.

That's like saying every chevelle was a beast becasue of the LS6 option.

Really disappointed about the new charger. If DC did the same retro-future thing that Ford did with the Stang I would seriously consider buying one. It is very similar to the situation with the new GTO.

I don't much like that sort of 70's style anyhow. Late 60s were great, but they just got wierd in the 70s. That hump in the back, the blunt, caved in front ends .. just odd.

11000 cars were built with the "street" hemi from '66 to '71.
And you can't compare LS6 cars to hemi cars. But the ZL1 was pretty close...

I think the Challenger was the most aggressive Dodge of the Muscle car era IMO...SuperBee's rocked also, but the Challenger just had an awesome stance that was intimidatiing
