Hey, I just wanted to thank you guys; this thread convinced me to go ahead an order a Pro 5.0 shifter for myself especially when reading about the $249 deal Lightning Force Performance was offering. I spoke with Jesse (great guy) yesterday and the transaction went smoothly; should be getting the shifter on Thursday.

Thanks!

-Johann

Anyone else break the OEM screw (there are two of them that you reuse) that goes on the brass plate that attaches the shifter to the car? (installing Steeda Tri-Ax)

This shifter is great! It will probably feel even better after it breaks in.

Nice Brandon, yea I have almost 2k miles on mine now. Just as smooth as the stock shifter with the shorter throw now.

I found this thread when looking for more info about shifters. Great info everyone. Sounds like a worthy mod. I wanted to do some research about the Triax since Stillen is running that group buy, $230 shipped!!

Here is the Group Buy thread

For all MGW users, does it bother anyone that after shifting to first (as far as what I can see in videos) the **** moves to the middle a little?

No , but I never really noticed it till I heard about on another thread and checked. I guess I don't really release the shifter much while I'm in first gear ...

I don't want to sound like a naysayer, but if all of you guys looking at buying a triax actually tried one, then an MGW you wouldn't make the mistake. Believe me I've had both and so have a few other guys I know. Don't do it.

I have an MGW, drove another car with a Triax. The Triax is ok but the MGW is in a class all of it's own. The MGW is a vastly superior product.

So let see, I suppose I made a "mistake" purchasing a Tri-Ax according to you?

Yes! That is correct sir. I bought one too, so don't feel so bad. Of course, in my defense the MGW was not available at the time.

But to repeat that for you once more, yes, you made a mistake. I guarantee it.

Well sir, feel for a shifter I would assume is subjective just as drone is to each person. Perhaps you should take a peak at who started this thread and when.

No mistake here, 10k on the Tri-Ax and still happy, no need to drop more money right now.
