sct or diablo

I'll chime in on the 'can you edit SCT tunes and load' sort of, is the answer. If you buy the tuner with the tune on board - no, you cannot edit it. You need the source file from your vendor before that will go. Now the thing that's been bugging me - why don't you all start a thread and upload your editable files? This should make an interesting library for all to try.
Finally, the real thing that bugs me about SCT (not sure if this is an issue with the diablo) is that the vendor-tuner has a software package that has waaaay more features. Then the extreme tuning software for windows, is a diluted version that lets you add some parameters. I mean, heck - release the real deal to the world SCT! After all, I'm not buying someone clicking buttons for me, I AM buying expertise from a tuning shop.

w/ the diablo, you can adjust air/fuel mixture, axle ratio, timing, cooling fans, idle, shift firmness, shift points, top speed/ungovern, and different tunes for different octane fuels.
Just curious, since I don't own an SCT, but can you do all this your self w/ an SCT, or do you have to let them send you a program of the same, and then your stuck w/ that one? P.S. I know you get three tunes on an SCT, just wondering if you have any say in what they are w/ your tuner, or does the SCT employee do all of the mods to the tune
?

Since you can edit your tunes, why do you need to go to a tuner shop to dyno/tune your car? Why can't I just tell the tuner to give my car a certain A/F ratio, and skip the tuner shop?
Maybe because of this question: How do you know your car is actually running that particular A/F ratio you asked it too?
