Poll: Brand of Motor Oil Used !
Mobil 1.
In reguards to older engines leaking:
In older engines(before OBD II days), the seals can shrink from the reaction with PAO(polyalphaolefin) based synthetics. The additives package in synthetic engine oils must be formulated to control this reaction otherwise youll probably get leaks.

So, do you have contact an Amway rep and have them come to your house to buy the stuff.
I'm guessing you mean Amsoil. Thats a funny typo! Brought back memories of my childhood and having the Amway sales person show up at your door selling shampoo and stuff.
Right now I'm using Motorcraft cos I have the Extended Service Plan. Maybe after that is over I'll switch to Mobil-1 or Amsoil. I've had great success with Mobil-1 in the Porsche I used to own. Only drawback is the price.

I'll use whatever "dino" oil I can get in 10W-40. I'm not picky on the brand.
Here's an interesting take on oil changes from the truth about cars
Personally, right now the motorcraft 5W20 from the dealer is in there, but I will be upgrading to mobil1 in the spring

If using synthetic, Mobil 1 all the way. If using conventional, Castrol GTX all the way. Or, original factory oil if getting done at the dealership. those are my three choices
BUT, ABSOLUTELY NO NO QUACKER STATE AND NO PENNZOIL (which is now owned by Quacker state anyway). A shame, pennzoil used to be good

i am getting 6 free oil changes from my Ford dealer right now so i am waiting for those to end then i will be switching to Mobil 1 or Amsoil but i still have 5 oil changes to go. saves me money till i have to flush the engine and make the change to full-synthetic
Never heard anything about not running full synthetic in these cars. I doubt it would be a problem. I know the VVT is sensitive (supposedly) to different viscosity oil, (10-30, 10-40..etc).
