Panhard bar replacement question
I'm going to be replacing the panhard bar on my car and need to know if it can be done up on a lift or not? I currently have an adjustable Ford racing one in that's over 10 years old and the bushings are shot, I'm replacing it with a BMR adjustable one. Can the old one be taken off while it's up on a lift and the new one installed without an issue if it's set to the same length or does it need to be up on jack stands or ramps?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Unless the rear suspension is supported by jack stands or ramps, the rear suspension won't be parallel with the panhard bar during the installation process...
If I remember correctly, I did mine with the car up on jack stands and without supporting the axle/wheels .... you may need to use a jack under the axle to get the holes lined up
the final adjustment will need to be done with the suspension compressed to ride height -- meaning the weight of the car on the tires. Also a good idea to do the final torque on the bolts with the car at ride height.

Just an FYI: In order to get the holes lined up requires supporting the rear axle by placing either jack stands or a floor jack under the rear axle...

Thanks, the dealer put it on when I got it years ago but not sure how they did it. Wheels are lined up properly and the car is lowered by and inch and a half in the rear.
