The Prochamber went in this morning. It took some muscling to get it all straightened up and bolted in, but its on! I was really surprised by how much quieter it is now. Its a lot deeper, very little drone in the cabin, and the trumpets have been all but vanquished. Only up in the high rpms do they make themselves known, but its not annoying by any means. No longer the crop duster. In the morning I am going to swap in the Bassanis to see what happens then.
One thing that I was thinking about today was how everything could change once I get a set of cams on there. So when the Violators get here, I think I will put a hold on my journey until I get the money for cams since once those go on, they are not coming off.

LTs, no cats, and the cutouts=no mufflers correct?
are you running the xpipe or hpipe? I wonder the difference on the sound varying just the h and x

When I ran the car with open headers, there was no trumpeting; so I'm assuming the cutouts will be quite similar in sound and volume.
I switched back and forth between an H and an X. I'll be staying with the X... basically because the H trumpeted more noticably. Frankly, I never really could tell much difference bewteen the two (even though a lot of people claim there is)... other than how they affected the trumpets.
So... my set-up will be: LTs, cat delete, X-pipe (with cutouts) and Bassani axlebacks. It may not be as loud as I want, but it will sound great (and run like a bat outta hell).

Are you running cats with the pro chamber? and what mufflers are you using now? I'm curious because like you and many others I'm after "the sound" The first thing I did was put on loudmouths and loved it. Next went on a pro chamber and like you I couldn't believe how much quieter it made it. It's nice and deep now though, just too quiet for my tastes except when I get on it and cruising at anything over 80mph is loud inside the car. I was thinking of replacing the cats with off road legs and going with MAC axlebacks for that deep 60's car rumble.

Here you go, updated every time I swap setups Newest is at the bottom

Theres a slight leak I can hear, and I know exactly where it is. The back of the Prochamber is not sleeved, and holding the two pipes together are some 2" band clamps. That should be remedied with some sealant. If I knew for a fact that I was keeping the Prochamber on there, I'd go with these babies: http://www.pi-thon.com/firelocks.htm

Wow! isn't that loud? I won't even start mine up before 9am because it wakes up the wife and neighbors. Once it's warmed up though it's not loud at all at cruising speed and that's where I want to louden it up a bit.
What would you think about stock exhaust manifolds/off road pro chamber and MAC axlebacks?

I say go for it, it'll definitely be louder than stock, and will probably be louder than what my setup is currently. To be honest, if I could go back to the way it sounded when I had my stock manifolds, catless X pipe, and MAC mufflers, I would be thrilled! But I would try a straight through muffler then, instead of the MACs. Let me know if you need a Prochamber, I am still wanting to sell mine.

Thanks for the info. I think I'll take your advice and go with a straight through muffler. Last night I heard the best soundclips of mustangs with off road H pipes and borla stingers. I'm going to try the ford stingers. I already have a pro chamber just need off road legs for it, if you have those let me know. Will I need a tuner to turn off the o2 sensors or will just mil eliminators do?

The actual cutout pipe/flange will be a custom job (we expect to weld those up today). And I'm using this 815-EC250D electric valve: http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/store...1529&langId=-1

I didn't have that brand, but mine leaded after a few months (a ticking sound, like an exhaust header leak), and so did just about everyone else who had them, any brand. I think if you put some sort of high temp silicone bead around the edge, that might take care of if? not sure, it didn't bother me to much. I think a different design would probably leak less, like maybe some sort of sliding plate, instead of a rotating plate (think like a sliding glass door, same idea) That would probably seal better, as it would have an actual groove that it would seat in.
I love the sound of my stock exhaust and flowmaster mufflers, but I don't think they are loud enough. would headers or different cats & tubing make the exhaust louder and not change the sound to much? or would all that be pretty much worthess for the cause?
