That looks absolutely amazing! What are you using for your coolant cross over clamps Jed?

What do the clamps around the rail itself hold in place? How about a link to some more pictures

Check out this link page 3 "Hose Finishers"...I use the titanium finish. Think you can get this stuff from Jegs.

Sure can get them from Jegs, Summit, etc... Thanks for the link, and that engine bay has definitely inspired me! I'm also impressed you got the strut bar to clear, is that the Steeda piece? Using lowered motor mounts? Is that just a KB thing or can you get it to clear a Whipple as well?

Yes that's a modified Steeda Strut Bar. I had "Steeda's" name machined off and I had the bar powder coated red. Then I re-badged the the tower cap with the ROUSH logo. At one time ROUSH actually used this exact bar but they stopped selling it. The bar cleared the KB fine at stock engine height, the problem was the CAI tube came close to actually touching the bar. So the next move was to use JDM/Prothane lowered engine mounts. This helped drop the motor 1/2 inch and gave me the gap I need to clear the CAI/strut bar. Now that I think of it lowering the motor also helped keep the pinion angle in the right zone for the lowered suspension of the I just had installed coilovers.

Awesome, thanks for taking the time to explain. I will be running something similar with the Whipple, but it has a custom intake so I'm going to have to do some test tweaking. Kudos again the attention to detail is really what makes it perfect!

Hey Jed , I finally got my can and before I install it I wanted to ask if it's directional ? The Steeda one I'm replacing is and has an arrow indicating the direction , since this has one no indication and the way it's designed I'm assuming that it isn't. Thanks ...

I'm pretty sure it's not directional when I looked inside both openings face the same medium. So I think you're good. How and where are you planning to mount the catch can? I had a bracket made and we were thinking of doing a group buy but at the time there wasn't enough buyers to bring the cost down to something more reasonable.

Jed

Jed , thanks for the info and that's pretty much what I thought ... I going to mount mine where I currently have the Steeda one that I'm replacing and it's on the side of the CAI shield , so the bracket it came with will work pretty well for me. That is a sweet looking one you had made though and if I didn't already have holes in the CAI shield for the Steeda one , I would definitely consider your bracket and location ...

It's been on back order for everyone for quite sometime and I figured the bigger places would get them first so I ordered mine from Jeg Performance last month while they were still on back order. I received it on Monday so they may still have them in stock , so you might check there ...
