I've had my SLP Axle-Back LM's for dome time now. They sound great.
One thing that you may have over looked is the fact that now that your rear mufflers are gone there is less exhaust back pressure. You may want to take your car in to have it tuned on a dyno.
One other thing to address is to dyno-mat the trunk area and the back seat area, there is a lot of exposed metal there.
With these areas dyno-matted and the windows up you can bearly hear the exhaust inside the car. I dyno-matted those those areas because I'll be putting in a sub-woofer very soon.
Dyno-mat is pretty expensive, so I went to Lowes and purchased some stuff called "Peel and Paste" its in the roofing section. Its the samething as Dyno-Mat but way cheaper.
I will say this about LM's, I live in a quiet housing sub-division, in the mornings when I crank up the GT (6:am) it sounds like a nitro burning funny car. After the car warms up and the idle settles down the sound isnt so bad.
One other note on LM's, when you go to WOT the GT sounds like all heck is breaking loose. I'm concerned that someday the sound might give someone a heart attack or something. :-)
Have fun

I didnt want to dyno mat it, becuase I love the sound, but since I put dual 10" subs back there, I have had to dynomat several parts. The rear deck is a real rattler, and I took that plastic thing that covers the 3rd brake light off, becuase it rattled like heck too.
