Is there anybody else here that doesn't like the sound of SLP Loudmouths? I ordered them after reading so many good reviews about them. I was so excited when they arrived. I was severely disappointed after I installed them. I'm from a small town in Mississippi. In my opinion those pipes made my car sound like all of the Chevrolet Z71's with straightpipes I hear on a daily basis. It did not sound like a Mustang at all. After 3 days, I couldn't take it any longer. I took them off. I was so embarassed for those 3 days I had them on. I'm not trying to knock anybody else's choice, but the sound did not suit my tastes. Of course LMPerformance would not let me return them after they had been installed. I still have them sitting in my garage. Maybe the fact that my car is an auto had something to do with the sound. I know a girl who has an '05 with straightpipes and tips welded on. It sounds like I hoped my car would sound with loudmouths. Her car is a stick though.

At one point I tried to find someone I could give them to. I wish I could find someone wanting to do a swap for some Flowmasters.

ya, I have the straight pipes with tips welded on...and I loved it until I added headers and a xpipe. I have heard SLP's, and they sound different than my car did with just they straight pipes and tips.

I am waiting to put Bassani axlebacks on

Whoa, is the chick pretty? Hehe.

That's weird. I like the FRPP/Borlas on the outside, but not the inside.

Sorry to hear the SLPs didn't work out for ya.

Honestly, I thought there was something wrong with my car because I had read so many good reviews. I even reinstalled them later because I didn't reset the computer thinking that might be the reason they sounded so weird. I still had to take them right back off. I thought my car would sound like the General Lee. It sounded like a Chevy truck. Other people said the same thing.

I've had mine on since August and the whole time I wasn't sure I liked them. I never could get anyone to drive it for me. (everyone knows how **** I am about my car) Then the other day, I took it in for some work and when the mechanic came to pull it in the shop, I asked him to drive it around the parking lot so I could hear it. I LOVED it! It sounds SOOO much better outside the car.

Sorry to hear you didn't like them, but with as popular as they are, they shouldn't be hard to get rid of. Just don't try to get ALL your money back and they'll sell pretty fast.

I want to get rid of them, but there are very few 05 GT owners in my area.

Put an add in the For Sale section here and on some of the other Mustang forums. I'd be surprised if they lasted a week.

I just put my LMs on this week, could not be more pleased. It's all a matter of taste of course.

and youre not happy with the LMs even after there are a few video and sound clips available. Of well.

Nothing compared to long tubes and no mufflers for me, oh yah!

+1 I drive with my windows down to hear that sweet sound. The "car" fellas always complement my exhaust.
