I'm pretty sure my APC was like yours: a connector that plugged into the the factory HARNESS. Just disconnect the old unit, and reconnect the new one (like removing a headlight with the bulb in the assembly still)
The APC unit plugs into the harness socket. My OEM assembly still contains a bulb in it, it just is unplugged.

Bill, great research! Thanks for the kind words, I appreciate it.

281GT, thanks for being reasonable about this. VSOP knows nothing of my electronics background, he was drawing conclusions about what we were doing in his own head. I'm still snorting in derision about the idea he raised that the LED unit was somehow generating its own electricity.

Sodaman---I'm returning mine to NinoSport for a credit...they have a few left, good people to work with! And, for what it is worth I wish it had worked....really like the look both fully lit and off...and if you don't like the lens (I liked it) from what others have said you can swap out the OEM lens.

Bill, Art & Mike....

Thanks for all of the info...my APC is going back to LMPerformance on Monday. Hopefully there will be an LED unit compatible with the '07's soon.

I'm with Sodaman. If the 07 owners would like to recover some of their investment, my 06 would be intersted in upgrading to LED's...

It's actually very simple. Remove the lens from the stock light and snap it on to the APC one. Scale of one to ten the difficulty is about a three. Just be careful with the tabs because they break easily. In.Pro Car Wear makes an LED third brake light, too but I don't know if the clear lens can be removed the same as the APC could. See the pics in the following thread:

Good luck!

BTW, since you have an '05, you shouldn't have the glowing problem they're discussing in this thread.

Ninosport and LMPerformance both carry the APC unit.

The APC does not look rice (I'm about as far from rice as one could get) I actually think it tied the clear reverse lamps together with the 3rd Brake light......looks good installed.

The IPCW is definately rice....read my earlier post, they are going to produce a red lens......I will post comments when I see a prototype.

By the way. APC simply sold a light produced by Eagle Eyes, who will likely find a new distribution channel.

+1 to that! I like the new "clear" band across my brake light. I think it matches the backup light quite nicely.

It also looks unique - and I think it complements my GT500 spoiler quite nicely.

No rice here!

Bill, I'm sorry it didn't work for you. I hope that you will be able to find a solution that works for 2007 models.
