Leaking brake fluid.

I had the same problem and here is how I stopped it. I have lots of junk around for 'fixing' things, so I took an old bicycle innertube and cut a piece the same size as the inside of the cap. I also cut a small "X" in the middle of the rubber for venting. When you put the cap back with the new piece and the old seal it is much tighter and I haven't had leak in 2 months. kinda back-woods, but it's free and easy and it works!

I went outside to check mine and I saw brake fluid was in fact leaking!
LimeGT your idea sounds great, Did you check to make sure the inter-tube was resistant to brake fluid ?

I think we all should complain on our next service visit,so Ford makes a revised seal or cap.

I read this post, and I remembered my friends 2001 escape, it had this EXACT problem. The dealer replaced 4 master cylinders! And finally ford released a revised cap and the leak hasn't come back.
