My Pioneer DVD Navigation system, in-dash with motorized fold out, should be arriving in 4 days or so, and I was wondering if anyone else has this for their '05 GT coupe? If so please let me know whether you like it or not, just how accurate and easy to use the navigation system is, etc... (Because the sales company sure as heck won't tell me anything that would compromise a sale). Thanks

I'm a little skeptical on the 10hp. I think it'll throw off the A/F ratio-leaning it out. With a good set of springs and shocks, might get into the 12's.
I think this belongs over here.

How did the Pioneer nav system work out for you? Is it the AVI-CD1? I'm looking at that one to replace my standard radio.
Thanks,

If you are talking about the D-1. N-2. or N-1, they are all amazing. Compared to the navi in my brothers BMW, I find this much easier to use and has features you can't find in other systems. The best part is that when you approach a turn its give you a super magnified view of the intersection which makes it almost impossible to make a wrong turn. It has other great features like an adress book, the ability to set way-points, different route choices (local vs. highway) etc. The best part about it is the fact that it looks OEM. Overall, using it is almost idiot proof.

How much did it end up costing you? Were you able to dis-able the sensor that prevents you from using it while driving ... I'm considering getting one for my vert..navigation is a kewl bonus....

I was looking into Pioneer AVIC-N2 In-Dash DVD Multimedia AV Navigation Receiver with the GEX-P10XMT XM NavTraffic™ Digital Satellite Tuner but I want to integrate OBDII Automotive Diagnostics software for in car tuning. Check my reply onboard Computer towords the bottom of page.

I wound up getting the D-1 which has the same features as the N-2 except for the DVD playback. The D-1 retails fors $1599 and the N-1 retials for 1999.99. I figured i could always get a stand alone car dvd player for the D-1 at a cheaper price. The audio shop I went to sold me the unit for $1499, the ipod adapter for $120 and charged $200 for the install. Overall it came out to be $1950ish. For the N-2 you're probably looking at $2000+. One another interesting note, the audio shop that did the installation said that pioneer made it almost impossible to enable in car playback of DVD's.
