Just to clarify before ordering .... 255/45zr18 front 295/45zr18 rear?

Using the calculator here....
http://www.bigcustomwheels.com/rt_specs.jsp
The 295/45/18 is 1.3 inches taller than the stock 235/55/17 tire. Am I correct in assuming that the 1.3 inch height increase will fill the gap between tire and fender?
I don't want to stuff the tires in there necessary will a big drop.

It's going to raise the rear by .65", and fill the gap by .65". The 295's do a great job of filling the gap, but I think you'll need a little drop or the rear end will be up in the air. I think the rear is already around .8" to 1.0" higher than the rear (depends on car, how much gas, shaker 1000, spare tire delete, etc), with a .75 to 1.0" more of a gap between the top of the tire to the center of the wheel well than the front tire/whell well has, so the .65" of extra tire should fix that. But ow the rear end is going to be about 1.55" higher than the front. Just rough estimates. Even tire pressures could change this a little.
You could always us a jack to jack up the back of your car .65" to see if you like the look. A floor jack and a tape mearsure, this could take only a couple of minutes.

My rear is higher by about 1 inch or more... and the tire fills the gap very nicely. I even think it's a little higher than top of the wheel well opening but no rubbing issues have popped up yet.

I decided to go with the 255/45/18 and 295/45/18 in Nitto 555. I test fit a rear, and the rear was too high for my taste, almost 30 inches! Definitely 4X4 territory. Well, come to find out the rear wheels were 22mm offset, so while I'm waiting on my new ones, I'm reasearching how everyone with 295's in the back with lowering springs are experiencing any rubbing or bottoming out with passengers in the back. I'm thinking about the Roush springs, since they will lower the car rear about an inch and I'm thinking the progressive spring rate will still allow for a close to stock ride normally, but will get stiffer on compression to help prevent bottoming out.
What do you all think?

You will be fine. (i replied toyour pm)
The 295's are a good bit higher than stock with the 45 and gives it that raked look kinda.
it looks nice, drives nice, has nice traction and have no rubbing issues and i'm 1.5inches lower. OH and did i mention it looks nice!!!!!!!

22mm offset on the rear is not very good choice for this car. You should have at least 35mm's if not more ... unless you like that kind of look with the tires hanging out beyond the sheetmetal ...

Eibach Pro Springs on 2005 V6 Mustang
Got a question for you guys/gals,... Bought a set of Eibach Pro Springs for my 05 V6 Stang, ...my mechanic said that Changing to these springs may require and EXTENSIVE alignment,... camber plates,... and other stuff may be required,... due to the lowering changing the geometry of the stock setup,....
Does this sound correct??
Anybody have to go this far just for a spring change?
Also, I didn't get new bumpstops,.... should I cut the stock ones? Y or N
If so, how much?
Thanks Guys/Gals.!!

cut the bumpstops down about an inch.
you may or may not need camber bolts. you dont need camber plates, just camber bolts which are about $40. But there is a chance you will be spot on after the springs. I lowered mine with the BMR springs, which is slightly more aggressive than the pro kit, and it was still within spec, except for toe, which was easily adjusted.
This is assuming the V6 has the same strut design as the GT, which I assume it does, but I dont know.

I like the look of the Bullits, and I decided to keep the front tires and wheels so I got the mustangtuning 18x10 bullit knockoffs for the rear so I could add a wider tire with basically the same diameter and matching Pirelli Pzero nero tires.
So, I have the Steeda Sport springs with adjustable front camber plates with the stock tires and wheels up front and the Pirelli 285/40Z 18s in back.
I haven't decided yet whether I want to go to the 18x9s up front [I hate to add MORE weight or mess with the steering].

Also, was the color of the wheels exactly the same as the front stock wheels?
Thanks, Dave

My next mod is tires and wheels, I am leaning towards the main theme of this thread...I could use some help and advice.
I presently have the stock bullitts and tires with 1" spacers, also have the tri-bar spinner centercaps. I would like to retain them, will they fit on the mustang tuning wheels, so I guess the question would be, will the stock FORD centercap work with these wheels, if they do, then my spinners will work! Also, is the anthracite close to the stock color.
I will probably install 411"s in the rear to make up for the 295's reducing the gear ratio. I would be also cutting 1 coil out of the rear spring which would bring it down 3/4", because the car would be coming up .65" with the tires, so the car would be back at stock height, but with a lot less gap between the tire and fenderwell.
What do you all think? Any ABS or traction control issues with the different tire height from the rear to the front.
Thanks in advance...Dave
