I have the combo you are looking at and really like it. Over a year with good wear.

I have that set up. Eibach springs and 255/45/18 and 295/45/18 on 18x9 and 18x10. I got them installed about 3 weeks ago. At first I thought they looked too big but the look is growing on me. The reason I went with this size is almost any other combination the back tire size overall diameter was smaller than stock. The sidewall on the stock 17's is 5" and is only 5.2" on the 295/45's

I love them. They are REALLY sticky dry, and about as good as the stock ones were in the rain. They respond really well to being warmed up. They have ****ty traction when cold.

Jordan...any more pics of your car? I'm considering the almost the exact same setup except I'm looking at 255/45/R18 in front instead. I'd like to see how this looks from different angles.

You didn't lower your ride, did you? I don't plan on lowering mine...so I think you're as close as I can get to "seeing" what my mod will look like.

Is your Stang lowered?

I'm lowered with the Eibach pro kit.

The rear tires came in and i had them mounted and installed and WOW does she look gooooooooooooooooooooood on those tires!

The tires come all the way to the edge just about and fill the wheel well very nicely.

The front tires are delayed and will be in on tuesday.

I have to adjust the panhard brace to get the rear centered again it's off to the left about an inch.

Car hooks much better in second, less wheel spin....

At first I was planning on doing the same tire setup without the drop...your pics make me reconsider. What type of rims are those by the way?

So, I have the Steeda Sport springs with adjustable front camber plates with the stock tires and wheels up front and the Pirelli 285/40Z 18s in back.

I haven't decided yet whether I want to go to the 18x9s up front [I hate to add MORE weight or mess with the steering].

Mike-

I have been considering doing the same thing with my car- keeping the stock front bullitts (I really like the bullitts) and going with the 18" bullitt rears. Does the paint match the front wheels on the FRPP 18" bullitts? The stock wheels are listed as anthracite, and I think FRPP lists theirs as silver. Or are your rear wheels not FRPP?

Thanks for the info.

I am lowered with the BMR lowering springs. You should look at S197GTs car... he has the same wheels as me (but in black) and he isnt lowered.

Nice....tough decision. I need to see what 295/45s look like on the rear without a lowering. Anybody?

I have never seen a pic with a S197 with 295/45/18's on the back and not lowered, but I'm sure there are some out there.

Personally, I'm thinking about the Falken RT-615 w/ 255/45 and 295/40 on CT-r 18x9" and 10"s.

That is the look I'm going for on my GT/CS. What are the specs for the rims front and back and what backspacing did they have?

Thanks in advance!

Using the calculator here....

http://www.bigcustomwheels.com/rt_specs.jsp

The 295/45/18 is 1.3 inches taller than the stock 235/55/17 tire. Am I correct in assuming that the 1.3 inch height increase will fill the gap between tire and fender?

I don't want to stuff the tires in there necessary will a big drop.

I believe that a 1.3" taller tire will fill the gap by half that amount (i.e. .65"). If so, then it also results in a .65" higher ride height.

Thanks for the link....the rims in your attached pics look a different color than the anthracite rims on the AmericanMuscle site. I actually like yours better and am glad they are colored that way.
